Morning Fuel

Morning meditation is especially good if you feel burnt out, uninspired, lost, confused, or as though you are waiting for something in life to happen, or you are yearning for some connection or shift to occur, and yet, you don’t quite know what that happening.

I believe that “something” we are missing is a connection with our true selves, who we really are, our authentic Spirit.

We have been so trained and conditioned for most, if not all, of our lives to abandon ourselves, reject ourselves, disconnect from ourselves, and search for the illusive approval of others that it’s no wonder we have drifted further and further away from our true nature.  It’s a lot like being lost at sea without a compass.

Some of us have drifted so far from our true selves, and have become so lost that we don’t have a clue who we are and reject ourselves because of it.

This void creates such a feeling of inner emptiness that we become desperate and addictive in an effort to get away from the pain.

Making time to reconnect with our Spirit, a time of receiving love and blessings from our Higher Self, does fill this void. This daily contact is a different than the traditional approach to meditation, where you try to stop thinking as a way to control your inner chaos.

Sourcing the kind of meditation practice that soothes the anxiety, pours in love and self-acceptance from the Spirit, and reassures the lost child within.  It is an active receiving practice. A time to stop trying and quietly relax and receive love and blessings from our Higher Self and the benevolent Universe instead.

When we sit and source in the energy and flow of unconditional love our defenses soften and our minds quiet down.

Our thoughts relax and our emotions settle down.

Sourcing only takes five or ten minutes and yet fills you for the entire day.

Done regularly it will fills the emptiness.

Sourcing is best done to music.

In my own sourcing practice I have used several pieces of music and there are a few that really hit the “spot” for me.

My favorite is called Devi Puja by a musical artist Krishna Das and Prana, which can be found on iTunes.

It is grounded hypnotic drumming 9-minute song that connects accompanied by an invocation to the feminine forces of God in the Hindu tradition.  It is powerful and my students love it as well

Two other wonderful pieces of music to I draw nourishment are Pachelbel’s Canon in D and a beautiful piece of music I created called Earth and called be found on my website.

Sourcing is like a having the most delicious and nurturing breakfast, made just for you with exactly what you need to have the most empowering exquisite day.

Sourcing brings you back to you.  And that is what you are looking for.
