Everything had gone down so fast. He didn’t know why Martin had done what he did. Everything had been fine earlier and then he just...snapped. Next thing he knew the swat team was called in and there were swat members everywhere. They clearly weren’t there to negotiate or talk either. None of them said a single thing before busting into the base. Then they just opened fire on any android they saw. CC had been shocked. Yeah, Martin had gone off the deep end but that didn’t mean all of them had. Why were they gunning down everyone? Most of them hadn’t even gone along with his crazy revolution ideas.
He quickly ducked down another hallway when he heard a couple of men approach. For the first time in his life...he felt scared. As crazy as it sounded, the battlefield made more sense to him then this whole situation. The enemy hated him and wanted him dead. He had to defeat them to protect his friends and his country. This didn’t make any sense. They were just killing all of them for the actions of another. It wasn’t right. It wasn’t fair.
He couldn’t stay there. He knew if he stayed he’d be killed just like everyone else. He had to get out of there. He had to run.
Another swat member soon passed. A straggler from the previous group. CC took the opportunity and snagged him, pulling him back with him and disarming him before knocking him out. His gear. CC could take his gear. Then maybe he could get out of this place without getting shot dead. He quickly removed his military uniform and switched it out for the swat member’s clothing. Then he checked to make sure the hall was clear before stepping out into the main hallway. He mimicked the men who had passed by, pretending to look as if he were searching the area until he reached one of the exits. Then he walked out of the base, trying to look as confident as possible. His face was completely covered by the helmet he wore, which helped cover his LED. No one seemed to be paying attention to him. This side exit wasn’t guarded by as many men. He pretended to go for one of the swat vehicles. No one was looking at him. No one was paying attention to him. Or so he thought. He just kept walking, trying not to look back.
