I think the Akimiki looks better in versions like Crybaby, the 1972 series and ova 3.

And the Ryokira in versions like Cyborg 009, ova 1 and 2 along with the manga.

To be fair, I like Ryokira in almost any adaptation (and yes, that includes Crybaby as well, despite of the changes), because those two just have such an interesting relationship, but I can see where you're going with this and I agree!

To be honest, whatever the case is, I can't deny that Akira loves both Ryo and Miki in all Devilman adaptations.
