Some background stuff on the idol au about Devine Pulse. Fun fact, the entire au was spawned when I was listening to AmaLee's cover of idol from oshi no ko.
They debuted when Neha was 14 but had all been working on it for years. The main reason they managed to rise to fame so quickly was because of Amrita's (their mom) connections from her time as a singer. It basically gave them a boost on when and where they perform.
It quite literally started off as a family business style thing with a lot of staff on board being family or family friends because Amrita knows how people in that business can be and she refuses to let anyone try and take advantage of her babies.
Amrita does take a step back and run the house, mainly working from home after an incident with Aarav having a stalker, they had to move house after that and Amrita regularly checks the place for cameras. It's also when they first started to actually hire bodyguards.
Neha's time on total drama is in the middle of the 'show months' basically where all of the members of Devine Pulse participated on a bunch of shows, commercials and even movies. This was mainly a PR stunt but also to build a rep so they could start their own show with challenges, performances and guest stars. It was basically like a test run to see if they could all handle the increased work load while still focusing on their idol lives.
The song titles literally range from 'rah' to 'I know I fell in love with you the moment I saw you next to the tree in the park on sunday'.
There's a commonly referenced thing called 'the maid incidence'. Pretty much for one of the songs on tour they let the fans pick the theme and they went with butlers so they all dressed as butlers. Some fans were going on about how they should have had Neha as a maid. So in response, in the next performance they all dressed in maid outfits in solidarity.
The fandom shall now be called hence forward the Devitees. Once again playing off of the divine/god thing since followers of gods are devotees and once again, the pun of having Devi in it it as a misspelling!
