alright then! it is better to vent, that’s why I post personal notes here, I just never expect people to actually listen. like, oh gosh, someone actually stopped & read my post & actually responded how amazing is that?! that’s really admirable of you, though, like you’re always liking my posts & stuff, its really cool to have that kind of support. Start making lil scenarios between 2 people. That’s usually how I make my OCs (although I make little comics because I’m far from being a writer) You can even start making up stories for interesting people you see on the street to use as a base for a char

friend what makes you think I go outside? yeah, I always forget I can do that. I literally forget I can create people & push them into stories. my one oc (Atlas) actually came about because I wanted to write about an asexual character meeting promiscuous Apollo & I liked how I portrayed Atlas so I set up a novel plot for him. (spoiled, isn’t he?)

as far as your writing goes, I’m probably going to start doing writing streams soon so Idk, maybe I can be of service? I’m good at writing tips surprisingly enough so yeah, here to help!

Writing FF is really good practice. Never feel bad about writing that because writing is writing, and when ever you write you get better at it, regardless the cause. Having a desire to make new content is good though!!! Make an OC right now if ya want

you do have a point. in fact, Sigil is actually kind of like a prototype to a novel I’ve been working on (albeit slowly) for the last couple of months, so fanfic is good practice for that kinda stuff. I think for the most part my lack of ocs comes from a lack of motivation to make them. I’m really plot-centric (its because I foreshadow a lot) so I tend not to make ocs unless I have a purpose for them. but, that’s actually kinda bad because characters are supposed to drive the plot not the other way around so, one of these days I might just set up a few ocs & a basic plot and see what happens. haven’t a clue what I’d do with the story afterwards
