234
*D Gray Man Spoilers*
So, I finished chapter 234 and this part made me remember the Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2 theory, AKA The Gap Creationist Theory.
It could explain how the Noah's seemed to be alive in a world with modern buildings. The Noahs have been around for 7,000+ years(I think?) by the time the series starts. It's currently the 1800s. So, they must've lived in a advanced world.
*Theory Time*
So, Genesis 1:1 says "In the beginning, God created the jeavens and the earth." Okay, that's straightforward.
Then we jump into Genesis 1:2 which says, "Now, the earth was formless and empty..."
So, Gap Creationist theorize that there is something missing in between these two verses. The Earth existed during a indeterminate period of time before there was chaos.
The version I heard was that the Earth is fine until The Fall happens. The Angels fell to Earth, seemingly destroying it. Then we jump to Genesis 1:2 where the Earth has no form.
So yeah I'm just speculating because I'm absolutely floored by this revelation. When I first learned about this theory in school, it really made me wonder if there were humans or creatures wandering the Earth in between that time period. Reading this chapter and seeing Road recall the Pillar and the modern buildings...haha idk. Theorizing about DGM is really fun.
I'm excited to find out more about the Pillar and how it relates to the Noah Family.
Okay let’s talk about this.
It is very likely that the earl is the heart (or at least, that’s implied in the last chapters).
Road dislikes the Heart’s accommodator (guess the plural is just a typo). But she likes the Earl (although the happy family thing is a lie) and she likes Mana as well, as she’s seen protecting him from Nea when he murdered all the Noahs.
It was never directly stated that the pillar = the heart, but since the earl is the actual mc of dgm and the most powerful one, guessing he is in fact the heart he’s looking for isn’t that over the top.
But at the same time, Road hates the heart’s accomodator. Even if it’s supposed that the earl is the heart, while Mana’s the accommodator, it is known that Road somehow cares for Mana.
How do these information tie together? What kind of relationship does Road have with the earl and Mana?
‘ Only a few weeks until the next chapter and I still can’t get over her coat, Road’s so cute!! ‘
A quick sketch of Road bc she was very cute in the new chapter
There are panels from ch.234 and ch.184 for comparison, but since these are also mega spoilers, I’m putting it under the cut!
from ch.184, during Allen’s dream sequence after he passes out from stabbing himself w/ crown clown while trying to defeat the level 4 akuma in timothy’s orphanage:
and from ch.234, when Road talks about the Noah’s??? Original world??????
so at the very least this whole pillar thing with the destruction of a modern city has been planned for 50 chapters and... many years.
is dgm abt time travel now? or is this a alternate universe situation? or is it supposed to be like, the world used to look like that but the pillar destroyed it so humanity had to start over again, sort of deal??? who fuckin knows but i’m... feeling some sort of way about it, excuse me as i buffer
me @ hoshino: honestly what the fuck
