“turns out, you’re late to class one time and you’re stuck in detention for three days. where’s degrassi hiding all of the cool teachers?” miles asked.
Maya could feel the panic beginning to grow as she watched the cafeteria clock. Her morning had started off by her waking up from a nightmare of her sinking deeper and deeper into the ocean. Since then she could feel her anxiety growing as the day went on. She’d managed to sit through her morning classes without an incident but she knew that she was in the process of losing her battle. Maya didn’t know why she was suddenly like this and she really hated the fact that the smallest things could set off her anxiety. Behind her she heard the sound of someone dropping something and the sound startled her causing her to break from her trance.
Now that she was broken from her spell, she noticed the tears that were rolling down her own face and the fact that she was noticeably shaking. Looking around she wanted to know if anyone had noticed that she was crying. Feeling embarrassed, Maya stood up and quickly made her way towards the door. Once she exited the cafeteria she turned down an empty hallway and slide down the lockers to sit on the floor. Maya wasn’t sure how long had passed but she was staring at the floor when she saw a pair of feet walking towards her. She heard a voice and she tried to quickly wipe her eyes before looking up at the person approaching. “Can I help you?” Maya asked, unsure what exactly the person wanted from her.
“i’m here, and i’m ready to take on everything degrassi has to offer! --except maybe math class,” madison said with a laugh. “no first day jitters here,” she lied.
“do mondays suck because they’re the first day of school, or does the first day at school suck because it’s a monday?”
Going to school was always something Elara looked forward to. When her mother was alive, she always stressed how important it was. That you should try your best, and good things would happen. Not only in school, but in life. As she walked towards the door she heard her phone buzzing, she grabbed it not paying attention to her surroundings. She looked down seeing a call from her father, scoffing she threw the phone back in her bag. Checking who was around she walked over to the benches, seeing a friend at one of them. “Hey! Whats up?” She asked, a grin making its way to her face.
‘Another day, another struggle’ Lia thought to herself as she made her way into the school. She kept her head down and headphones in as she made her way through the crowd to her locker. She breathed a heavy breath as she opened it, grabbing the books she would need. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed someone trying to talk to her. She pulled an earbud out and turned to the person slightly, “what did you say?
“so, did i actually miss anything at the lock-in?” shay asked. she had heard rumors, but she wasn’t sure how much truth there was to them. “i can’t believe i missed it to visit my grandparents,” she added.
(¸.• ♛ → She went out from her limo, honestly Fiona has been around for like a week or something, people knew who she was but this wasn’t New York, she didn’t like to go to this public school, however, she needed to try and get the best out of it, maybe start fresh. “Right now honestly I’m just very lazy to enter to school and all...”
