He let out a small laugh, “I suppose thats fair,” He smiled softly seeing how upset she looked about the whole situation. He couldnt imagine the thoughts going through her head. “Emilia, youre one of the smartest people in the world. Everyone likes attention, whether they realize the situation or not,” He sighed, turning to face her even though she was looking anywhere else, “You did the right thing at the end of the day, its not your fault for getting kicked out. The teacher was in the wrong, he was in a position of power and used it to his advantage. You deserved better in the situation,” He smiled for a second, “Plus you got to meet me! And your life has been better ever since,”
“you’re the greatest, did you know that?” she asked, rhetorically. “you know what? you’re right. my life would be exceptionally more suck-y without mike dallas in it,” she said, giving him a fake smile. she didn’t want him to worry about her and how much it still bothered her. thank god she was a great actress.

Dallas shook his head, “Id never think your stupid,” He said, continuing to listen to her story. He sighed looking down as she finished, he never expected her to have had an affair with a teacher, but she also did the right thing by going to someone when it got uncomfortable, “Just for a detail in the story, no other reason, whats the teachers name?” He asked, as he raised an eyebrow, “But in all seriousness, it wasnt your fault Emilia, you did the right thing going to the dean, but half the time teachers refuse to believe that their students are telling the truth against them. Im sorry you had to go through all that,” He said as he grabbed her hand rubbing the back of it to help calm her down.
emilia wasn’t one to talk about what happened previously. she liked to keep her past behind her, and if it was at all possible, she tried to avoid talking about her secret. “i think i’ll keep that part a secret,” she said, forcing a smile. it was nice to know that she could rely on dallas at least. “thanks,” she said, looking down. she was ashamed of herself for letting it go on as long as it did, which is why she blamed herself for being expelled. “thanks for not thinking i’m an idiot, too,” she said, avoiding eye contact.
mannyxsantos:
Manny sat in the music room, grazing her hands a long the piano keys, and she began to sing. Music and acting was always her release from reality. Her way of letting everything and putting all of her passion and emotions into one thing. “Life is a show. Sky diving about to let go. Walkin’ the wire with nothing below. Don’t you know, Don’t you know. Cause life is a show. In every shade of the rainbow. We’re jumpin’ through fire. Let’s go. Life is a show.” She belted out, not knowing that the door was cracked open ever so slightly.
emilia had been walking towards the music room anyways, hoping to work on some new music. when she pushed open the door quietly, she heard the girl singing and listened. “did you write that?” she asked when the girl had finished. “you’re really talented,” she said.
esmesngs:
How many Saturday detentions are these teachers going to give me before they realize that I’m never going to show up? Like come on.
“maybe if you showed up to one of them, you wouldn’t get another as a punishment,” emilia pointed out, casually. “then again, if you go to one, you’d have to go to them all. which would basically mean no more weekends until summer,” she said with a laugh.
winstchu:
“from personal experience i can now tell you that after 32 hours without sleep coffee will not help you anymore, you might as well be drinking water. unless, of course, you drink like four cans of monster energy every twenty minutes but i doubt that’ll work either to be honest.”
“sounds like someone could use a nap,” emilia said, giving the boy a smile. “seriously though, you might want to head to the nurse and just tell her you aren’t feeling well. she’ll just let you sleep it off,” she suggested.
icedallashounds:
“Of course, thats how friendship works,” He nodded as if it was some kind of extra reassurance. He wasnt gonna tell anyone what she told him, he could tell it was something hard for her to speak about. He wouldnt break that trust.
“you’re gonna think i’m really stupid after telling you this...” emilia said, softly, more to herself than dallas. “so, there was this teacher. he was younger, and every girl at that school had a crush on him pretty much. but things kind of escalated between me and him,” emilia admitted, looking around to make sure no one was listening. “i was fine with everything, so it’s kind of my fault. but he ended up pushing things too far, and i got uncomfortable. i went to the dean, but i was basically blamed for falsely accusing him. everyone believed him, and i was expelled,” emilia said, her voice shaky.
icedallashounds:
Dallas couldnt help the look of shock that quickly crossed his face, “I have a feeling it wasnt for getting in trouble,” He glanced over at her, seeing her body language, “You dont have to tell me E, but I am here for you if you feel comfortable enough to do so,” He smiled softly, and turned back to facing away from her. Not wanting to put any discomfort or pressure on her,”
emilia was shocked at how well dallas could read her. “if i tell you something, can it just stay between us?” she asked, before looking back towards him. it was a split second decision to tell him, and it was a decision that she hoped she wouldn’t come to regret.
icedallashounds:
He smiled softly back, feeling the protectiveness in him come alive, “If your positive. What was the reason if you dont mind me asking?” He said as he sat on one of the benches outside the school. He was curious, but didnt wanna push the topic. In fact he realized they never discussed her old school.
emilia hadn’t spoken about her reasoning for leaving the preforming arts school since arriving at degrassi. in reality, she didn’t really mention the school at all unless in passing. when dallas asked for the reason, emilia was silent for a moment. she trusted dallas. “i was kicked out,” emilia admitted quietly. she didn’t tell dallas about how she was stupid enough to fall for a teacher who pushed things too far. she honestly wanted for him to know the whole truth, but she was scared.
steveandrws:
“yeah, i’m sure.” he nods, lifting his head up to look at the brunette. head shakes when she mentions bringing him to the nurse. “no, no that’s fine. besides, she creeps me out.”
“fair enough,” emilia said with a quiet laugh. “well, if you don’t want to go see her,” emilia said, digging through her bag to pull out some ibuprofen . “take this at least. i always carry some with me, i get bad headaches,” she explained.
icedallashounds:
He tilted his head slightly, hearing her voice kind of drift off at the end, “Did something happen?” He questioned, “Ill fight em,”
emilia gave dallas a smile, hoping to seem like she was okay. she was a good actress, so she hoped she pulled it off well enough. “don’t worry, mr. fight-y. it’s no big deal,” she said. “there was just a group from my old school there, and let’s just say i left for a reason,” emilia admitted. she thought of dallas as a really good friend, maybe she could be honest with him.
lolapaciniz:
she’s never been good at using school-mandated resources - or, at the very least, lola hadn’t necessarily felt compelled to visit the library until now. after grabbing her needed book, she flopped down at one of the tables, eyes quick to widen upon seeing someone seated across from her. “oh my gosh, i’m so sorry! is it okay if i sit here?”
emilia had decided to take a break from homework for a little while. she was mainly caught up with her extensive workload, she so decided she needed a little bit of a break. after checking her phone and realizing it was dead, she wondered around the fiction shelves until she found something interesting enough. when she heard an apology, she jumped. “oh, no, you’re fine! i was just --reading,” she said holding up the book.
adammtcrres:
“that question kind of blew my mind and now my head hurts.”
“i ask the hard questions!” emilia said with a laugh. “i’m emilia, by the way. i don’t think we’ve met,” she said. “sorry that your first impression was me giving you a headache,” she teased.
sincerely-anya:
“Thats the best way to be!” The girl smiled, with everything going on her life, she definitely needed a little optimism. ““I’m anya, by the way.”
“it’s surprising how few people at degrassi seem to agree with that,” she said, only half joking. “it’s nice to meet you, anya. i’m emilia,” she replied.
icedallashounds:
“Well damn, thats just not right,” He chuckled lightly, “How was the workshop?” He didnt care about all that Art department stuff, but he knew she did so hed pretend.
“exactly!” she said, a small laugh escaping her lips. “it was okay,” she said, with a shrug. “i mean, the workshop itself went fine,” she said. a few people from her old school had showed up for some extra training, and it was an understatement to say there were still rumors going around about her.
sincerely-anya:
““yeah, I used to be on the ‘eliminate Monday’ bandwagon up until I came to the realization.” She giggled. ““That’s a good way to look at it. Thinking with positive instead of acting like it’s dragging on.”
“i try to be optimistic, despite my conversation starter,” emilia joked. it was true. she did usually try to look on the bright side of things.
