@lopez-elara
“Youre also the nicest,” She said with a smile, “Im pretty good in science, not as good as Alli, but still up there,” She thought for a moment, speaking spanish her whole life, she needed another language and went with french. She was decent, “I could help you study? So you can focus more on the game if youd like?”
he tiled his head in agreement— alli was a freaking scinece wiz “she’s going to be the next Einstein… make my words” laughing soon after. smiling at elara.. thinking about taking her up on that offer “yeah… that’d be great! we got a big game coming up, i could use the extra help”
“Honesty, I could see it,” She loved science, but while Alli liked finding cures, Elara loved programming. She grinned when he agreed, “Yay! Do you wanna meet in the Library after school?” She loved helping so she was excited to begin.
lopez-elara:
“I love it! The care bears used to be my jam,” She grinned, “Its very cute Lola, Im happy you found something your passionate about,” She knew the girl would move on to something else soon, but she would still stand by her side anyway.
“do- do you think it’s, like, stupid? i wanted to raise awareness about stuff like kids working the overnight shift to support their families and getting bad grades ‘cause of it… but i’m worried people aren’t gonna take me seriously because it’s- me.”
“I think it shows who you are,” She tilted her head slightly trying to figure out her words, “You need to get people to want to come. Prove to them that you can be taken seriously,”
lopez-elara:
“I would be dead if that happened, your jacked!” She exclaimed in a sarcastic tone, “Touche,” She joked with his next statement, eyes narrowing slightly, “But Mami would want me to get my 4.0 she had one,” She shrugged with a grin as she pushed a few of the strands of hair back into his cap for him, “You however just enjoy trouble,” She chuckled lightly.
“You’re right.” he said with a nod and a devious smirk. “Yeah, yeah. I know. Like I said. Queen of Nerds.” he mused playfully, tending to ignore the darker context of what she had said, though of course it wasn’t a conversation they had before with both of their mother’s passing away. He smirked when she leaned closer to him to fix his hair, not once breaking eye contact with her. “Well trouble is more fun and there’s nothing wrong with a little fun, is there?” he questioned his friend. He always wondered how they wound up so close and he was sure the rest of the school wondered the same exact thing. “You really oughta try it some time.” he suggested, shaking his head.
She rolled her eyes, she liked her place of social status just fine. "I have fun, but sometimes fun is to much for me," She shrugged, she hated large crowds after a period of time. That was often why at parties she would seek out Jay. He wasnt a recluse, but his circle was small. Which is part of the reason people questioned there friendship. And when asked about she simply would state that it was easy, and that was it. "If you believe I must, then take me for some fun. The Queen is ready," She jokingly flipped her hair off her shoulder a grin plastered on her face.
pristine hands pressed the poster flat against the wall, smoothing over loops of tape as to attach it. “do you like the poster? i think protesting is totally my thing… i just don’t know what to protest, yet.” the poster itself read ‘degrassi activism’, with an image displayed below the text. “what do you think?”
“I love it! The care bears used to be my jam,” She grinned, “Its very cute Lola, Im happy you found something your passionate about,” She knew the girl would move on to something else soon, but she would still stand by her side anyway.

She couldnt help the look of shock that crossed her face, “Looks like someone isnt gonna be getting much free time,” She laughed lightly, “I think I agree with your counselor. Sadly, I do havent had the time to join between classes, but im getting there eventually,”
lopez-elara:
Elara looked over as the girl spoke, she couldnt help the small smirk that crossed her face. The girl was outgoing she’d give her that, “Well, I suggest limiting yourself unless you have a time turner,” She giggled lightly, hoping the girl understood her reference, “Elara Lopez,” She said with a smile.
“–a bit too late for that. i already talked my counselor into signing me up for way too many clubs,” she said with a laugh. “i love your name! major props to your parents,” she teased. “madison hart,” she replied.
Elara got a bit tense at the mention of her parents, she missed her mom more than anything and hated her dad more than anything. She wished nothing more than to have her moms maiden name so she had no connection to him, “All mi madre,” She said with a small smile, “So what are these many clubs your joining Madison?”
“i’m here, and i’m ready to take on everything degrassi has to offer! –except maybe math class,” madison said with a laugh. “no first day jitters here,” she lied.

“I was up all night studying, wanting to make sure I had it all straight,” Not that she really needed to study, she always got straight As her whole school career. “So hows everything going? Any boys?” She said raising a brow with a chuckle.
Going to school was always something Elara looked forward to. When her mother was alive, she always stressed how important it was. That you should try your best, and good things would happen. Not only in school, but in life. As she walked towards the door she heard her phone buzzing, she grabbed it not paying attention to her surroundings. She looked down seeing a call from her father, scoffing she threw the phone back in her bag. Checking who was around she walked over to the benches, seeing a friend at one of them. “Hey! Whats up?” She asked, a grin making its way to her face.
Sophie was scribbling down some answers on a worksheet that was due first period. Once she finally finished the last question, she put the pencil down and released a heavy sigh of relief. “Hey,” She greeted back with a smile. “Uh— Just finished some good ol’ last minute homework… um… what about you?”
She looked down at the girls paper, “You made a mistake on that one,” She said pointing to one of the many problems on the sheet. “Just waiting for the school day to start,” She said with an over exaggerated sigh. Her one issue was that it started to early for her liking.

cam looked up and saw elara walking towards him, she was cool in cam’s mind— she didn’t give him crap like the hockey guys did. “hi elara, nothing much… waiting for the rest of the guys” bouncing his leg up and down;; as much as he complained.. he enjoyed walking with them. “how’s your morning been?”
She couldnt help but let out a little giggle, “You guys are exactly like hounds, a pack,” She looked down at his leg noticing the nervous habit of his early on in their friendship, “Im doing pretty well, got a science test today,” She shrugged, she had studied one last time this morning, just to feel extra ready on the test.

Elara Bio
Elara Lopez was born into your basic American Dream family. Her father working hard to get his family the life they wanted, her mom taking care of the house. Every night theyd have a dinner, talk about their day, and head their seperate ways. Her mother was her best friend, always telling her about every little detail in her life as well as her friends. They were closer than you could imagine for a teen and her mother.
Unfortunately, when she turned 14 her father had an accident at work. He was bed ridden, always home and getting more and more upset about it. It all caught up to him one day, the anger, the frustration, all of it. He snapped, he killed her mother and vanished. Elara had come home to discover her body. She cried, a lot, called 911 and relived the experience over and over. Shorty after the funeral, her father had come back, and admitted to her that he did it. She told the police, but her dad had some how gotten an alibi. The case went unsolved, even with his confession to his daughter.
She left, never wanting to see her father again, she packed all that she could and went to her best friends house. She couch surfs, about every month, having to go to a new place because she refuses to go back to her house. She never told anyone why she was, just that her dad had a drug problem she didnt wanna be around. She would take it to the grave, she didnt want more people to tell her she was crazy or that it wasnt real. She couldnt handle being told that her mothers death was simply an unsolved case, because she knew better. She knew the truth and no one believed her.

“C’mon Simpson, I’ve been in here a whole hour now, can’t a guy catch a break? I literally just have to pee.” he protested to Principal Simpson. “I’ve been here in detention every day this week.” he added to his case. He watched as Simpson sighed and turned in his chair. “Yeah and 3 out of 5 days you managed to disappear until the last two minutes of detention.” Simpson muttered back with a raised brow. “I swear I’ll take a leak and come back.” Jay swore, lifting his hands up in the air in surrender. Jay watched with a smug look on his face as Simpson stopped typing and rolled his eyes. “Fine, you have 10 minutes, Hogart. I’m timing it or you’ll be in detention all next week too.” he said, dismissing Jay with a hand before going back to typing on his laptop. “Thank you, sir” Jay said nicely, then rolling his eyes as he pushed out of his chair and out of the room. He reached in his pocket to pull out his phone he had lied about having when Simpson took phones for detention. He scrolled through his messages, texting a few people back before he lifted his head and almost walked straight into someone else. “Well, hi there.” he joked moving to lean against a nearby locker and go back to his texting. “You should really watch where you’re going.” he said, though he knew damn well it was him that wasn’t paying attention.
Elara had needed to stop at her locker to grab her science book, she forgot about the homework in the class and was not willing to give up her straight A’s despite what was going on at home. As she was rounding the corner she felt herself slightly brush against someone, and the distinct voice of her best friend. “I have a feeling it was not me who needs to pay attention bubs,” She said with a chuckle. “Skipping out on detention again?” She asked leaning back on her left foot and crossing her arms as she stood in front of him.
