Headcanon: After the events of Dr. Horrible’s Singalong Blog, Captain Hammer, after much work with that therapist, decided he needed a clean slate. Obviously, he can’t do that where everyone knows he lost his girlfriend to Dr. Horrible, so he leaves. Knowing he needs a better support system, he seeks companionship with other superheroes, establishing a friend group…a gang of sorts. He does what many people do when going through a major life change and changes his hair (Blond, a classic) and his aesthetic. Best way to switch up your wardrobe? Accessorize! He found a cool ring and the rest is history. The last things he needs are a new name and a new bit…
