Joe's Dial the Gate new Stargate show must have ingredients:

1. Bring back old characters.

2. Keep the cosmic giddiness RDA put in motion.

3. Test the new actors together for chemistry with plenty of table readings and rehearsals.

He understands and appreciates his fans and his craft while also actively trying to change the world for the better by bringing awareness to real world issues.

300: Michael Shanks Part 2, "Daniel Jackson" in Stargate SG-1 (Interview)

As Season Four draws to a close with episode 300 it seemed appropriate to invite Dr. Daniel Jackson himself, Michael Shanks, back to the pro

This Dial the Gate ep with old man tanktop Michael Shanks is pretty fun. Some highlights for me were him talking about his relationship with RDA and how they shot some scenes...apparently the whole tantrum argument in "One False Step" was basically improv...he said that when Rick said "you can be a little...flaky" it was improv and he kinda took that personally lol, and that one of the exciting things about working with RDA is that he's like "oh god, what's gonna come out of his mouth?" and then was all "what's gonna come out of mine?" Hah. Makes me think that maybe their awkward aborted "you know I never..." infirmary apology conversation might have been improv too?

Then the guy asked him about coming back so soon after leaving to do "Abyss," and he said it was because it was a really good script, and that for once they pretty much stuck to the script because it was so good. Also said he came back because "he missed Rick" and that "maybe he missed me too," d'awww. Um buddy I've seen the episode I think it's safe to say he missed you too. 😂 Also said that Rick is still like his older brother to this day, that Rick is three years younger than his dad, but it's always been more of an older/younger brother thing between them. Cuuuute.
