My headcannons for the giant clan as I believe that there's more to them than fighting

The only giant civilization we see in canon is Megadoza, but I like to believe that there are giant communities that live in the mountains and there's more giant cities around Scotland and Megadoza is the capital

The giants are Scottish, the giant communities all speak their own variations of Scots and Scottish Gaelic. Diane probably doesn't speak it as well because she spent a lot of her childhood living away from other giants, but she would have been re-taught it by Matrona.

Giants are mostly carnivorous, they like the thrill of hunting. Not a lot of giants are farmers or gatherers, but there will be a small minority of farmer / gatherer giants living on their own or in small communities.

The main entertainment for most giants are fighting related, e.g boxing, wrestling fighting festivals.

Being an orphan in giant society is pretty common as it is more likely that your parents will die in battle, so they don't really have a concept of family. They do tend to stick together as a community and come together around a campfire to tell stories about their battles and giant mythology.

A lot of their mythology revolves around Drole and their bravest warriors.

A lot of them have an interest in crystals and geology, they probably give cool rocks and crystals to their loved ones

They're surprisingly feminist and believe that women can be strong warriors

They have some giants who mine or blacksmith, that's probably the only other ways that giants earn money other than fighting for holy knights. I think they would value strength and hard work

They didn't have a monarch between Drole and Diane, they probably elect village chiefs every 250 years or so

giants have low birth rate because they are more likely to die in battle before they can get pregnant. They have a declining population because of this and due to the fact that they keep dying in battle.

When they commit a crime, the punishment is usually limb amputation/ execution for major crimes and whipping for smaller crimes.

Giants can get kicked out of the village if they're considered too weak. They probably will kill a baby if they think its too weak like the ancient Greeks did.

Similar to fairies, most giants are illiterate as they don't have an education and only learn to fight

The reason why giants value fighting is because during the holy war they had to fight to survive and they never stopped doing it so it just became part of their culture.

Giants put on war paint to battle. Each tribe has their own traditional style of war paint.

They believe in a concept similar to Valhalla, where they believe that dying in battle is the only noble death and any other death won't get you into heaven

Most of their clothes are made of the hides of the animals they kill

There are giant artists who are either commissioned to paint warriors and legendary battles on rocks and some who use their abilities to make sculptures by manipulating rocks and crystals. The second form is slightly looked down upon.

Giants mostly trade metals, weapons and animal meats / hides

Giants don't really have good healthcare as not a lot of them become doctors, so they have to go to a nearby town when they're ill. They might have battlefield medics who use herbal medicine, but outside of the battlefield they have little access to medicine. The battlefield medics will mostly deal with injuries and wounds, they're probably not as prepared to treat an illness.

And I'm back, women in anime are depicted so terribly its wild. I just wanted to come and say, fuck elizabeth (nnt/7ds), fuck orihime (bleach), and fuck hinata (naruto, but fuck her a little less cs i kind of like her)

It makes me angry that in almost every shonen, the main character has a personality and a life and things that they go through and have to overcome... and then theres the love interest. Always airheaded, always soft spoken, always kind, with no willpower at all. In bleach, I would ship rukia with ichigo so hard if she wasn't perfect with renji.

Bleach was actually insane because literally every female character had a personaltity except Orihime. I do like that Fairy tail is set apart from the rest because Lucy is kind of sort of the main character so she gets to have a personality too. Fanservice is like an obvious thing that I hate about anime and it takes away so much. If an anime was a 10 before factoring the fan service, it would be brought down to a 7 or 6 afterward. Orihime sucks over all, 2/10 love interest.

I'm pretty sure most of my hate of Winry (Fullmetal Alchemist) is stemmed from the countless anti-winry fanfiction I've read but she's a great standalone character. The only flaws I see in her is that she does the crying for the male mc thing, which is really out of character for her when I think about it. She has willpower, she's strong and independent, if anything she'd be travelling with them and staying strong for them because she understands that she's a liability if she breaks down crying at every bruise they get. That's more in character to me, but I suppose she is also a teenager so... I can't be too mad at her. All in all, Winry is an amazing female love interest. 9/10 love interst/mc.

Haruhi from Ouran Highschool really breaks the stereotype and gives us a refreshing view on women in anime. She wasn't obsessed with love, she didn't really care too much about anything. She wasn't the typical "yells at you for literally anything" female mc, or the "nice shy and airheaded" female mc. She wasn't even unique and I love that, she's genuinely a regular ass girl, and she was so hilarious. She's probably my favorite girl in anime if I'm being honest. 10/10 female love interest/mc.

Let's talk about Elizabeth. Elizabeth from 7ds is such a disgrace.. She sat and let Meliodas molest her and didn't care at all. You can tell when an anime is written by a man, and not to knock ALL anime written by men because there's some amazing ones out there, but things like that just make it so obvious. Diane and her obsession with Meliodas was weird too, it seemed a bit too much like a harem anime in season 1 and bits of season 2. Elizabeth was the typical soft spoken and overly kind love interest that I hate. Not a drop of personality there and then she has to blush with everything she says.. All in all, 0/10 love interest.

Last but not least, my dear Tohru Honda... Words cannot describe how much I love her. On the outside it looked like she was the typical soft spoken and overly kind female mc but she actually blew my mind. Her willpower is incredible, the fact that she stayed after finding out what Kyo really was and refused to leave. It wasn't a weird kind of moment where she was just blushing and refusing to leave because that's what the writers decided she was gonna do, but it was actually a great scene that showed who she was at her core. I loved how at the end of the series she disagreed with Kyo. "I might be nice but I do stand my ground." God, I love Tohru. It's like her kindness was genuine and real and so was her worry and concern for the Sohmas. All in all, 10/10 female love interest/mc.

7 Deadly Sins is Ass

So I'm rewatching 7 deadly predators just to understand what was going through my preteen brain and omfg it was bad. As a teen watching it with my cousins I knew there were problems but I was lowkey obsessed with Diane and had a huge crush on Meliodas soooo. Anyways Jericho and Diane best characters.

Chapter 142 of 4kota was a lot.

So starting off Diane is very cautious about her children’s feelings, especially about how they feel about Nasiens. It also seems like Diane is not extremely effected by not telling, confirming or showing that Nasiens is her kid. Probably because she knows how it would make Mertyl feel knowing that he’s spent his whole life feeling like a misfit in their family.

Then there is King. He expresses to Nasiens that he has been looking for them since he lost them. I really think this shows he wants Nasiens into there family despite how it would make Mertyl feel.

Also King wanting to give Nasiens the drug of yore to try to save Percy shows he cares for Nasiens. He could’ve given it to Myrtle knowing his health is rapidly declining but he chose not to. Maybe it’s just King wanting to be forgiven by Nasiens for not being able to find them, or to show that he didn’t replace them. Though it could also be that King isn’t giving the drug of yore to Myrtle because he know that it might not work for him or it would be a waste, since the forest is what’s causing his health to decline. Since the drug of yore is so rare he might not want to give it to Myrtle knowing that it might be able to help one of the four knights of the apocalypse.

Oh and…

It seems like Phao over heard Diane and Tioreh’s conversation so depending on the type of person they are they might go and tell their siblings.
