At first, he would see you roaming around faintly, but he never knew if you were some spirit, a fairy, or a trickster fae. He finds himself interested in the way you are able to change your appearance more than once, sometimes you'll pop up as lilia, maybe even silver. Perhaps another dorm leader if you're up to it !

He finds himself less lonely and letting out light laughs at your antics. He watches as you agitate sebek more times than he could count. You have a very interesting way of describing things as well and sometimes he has you become him just to satisfy his curiosity

LILIA

He's literally you. You're literally him. You are one.

He likes the way you arent interested in anything crazy like wealth or power, but mere amusement. You're dramatic, chaotic, and full of mystery. He's cackling and giggling with you in seconds.

Sometimes the both of you will act out plays with overwhelming flair. He's literally obsessed its crazy. He always like to dance around the mask you've made your own. Slightly pushing to figure out your identity but never quite doing such. He wants to keep it fun, despite being skeptical.

SILVER

You confuse Silver. Now, he's a smart boy but theres a limit to what he can figure out when you're involved (nothing). He dead asked you where Lilia put his blanket and you said "Sleep soundly upon it dear knight, the answer will come in a sound dream"

"...so..the dorm longue or no??"

He let out a sigh as you giggled

As mischievous as you are, he notices that you arent malicious and only want some fun. So he tolerates you and the odd nicknames you give him. You'll sing him lullabies, the rhythm luring him into his dreams. He's come to terms that he has grown comfortable with you. Smiling as he drifts off into wonderland

SEBEK

He REFUSES to even understand the seeming madness that spouts from your mouth whenever he's within your vicinity. You enter the room? "valiant knight! there you are!" He screams in genuine terror.

You wink, disappear, he tries to follow - yet hits a wall.

He loathes every second you appear (according to him, we all know he lies)

Yet, its so different when he's defending your honor. He's furious, unforgiving, brutal, and loud. You swear there were some slurs in there somewhere...

When you arent looking? he smiles at your theatrics

Diasomnia headcanon I made on a whim, it's silly.

So basically I was discussing with someone over the dorm uniforms and how much I like them.

Which led to me mentioning this weird urge I have regarding the Diasomnia dorm uniforms, specifically the hats I find rather cute and adorable.

Me: "The temptation to just mess with them by attempting to take a Diasomnia students dorm hat and wear it proudly for a few minutes, take photos and then return hat to owner...is strong"

So yeah how would things go down if?

I tried to borrow one of the Diasomnia boys hat to playfully put on my head, proceeded to take photos of my successful attempt before returning the hat back to them.

Malleus: would be difficult especially for a shortie like me. I guess I could catch him off guard by telling him to come closer and bend down to my level and snatch the hat that way. Problem would be his reaction. As my brain flashbacks to Malleus's PE uniform vignette.

So I'm expecting Malleus to get some payback on me and be very petty in response to my silly hat moment. So yeah this will backfire on me.

Lilia: yeah.....no. There's no way I'm getting his hat. He is gonna be able to instantly dodge my swipes for his hat, not to mention it be near impossible to sneakly take the hat from him.

Once Lilia notices what I'm up to, he will totally mess with me and make a game out of my silly attempts to swipe the hat from him.

Still there's a chance Lilia will let me borrow it briefly.....eventually. After learning I want to wear it briefly to get photos of myself wearing it because I find the Diasomnia hats very adorable and cute.

Sebek: would be very loud the whole time and difficult to swipe hat due to me being a shortie yet again.

Again I could catch him off guard by telling him to come closer and bend down to my level and snatch the hat that way. Though the aftermath would be him yelling at me and immediately trying to take it back.

So I'd have to run and lose him if I want to successfully get pictures of me wearing Sebek's dorm hat.

....my stamina is that of a Ignihyde student, there's no way I'll be successful on getting the hat long enough to take photos before Sebek swipes the hat back from me.

Silver: simple and easy way would obviously be taking his hat when he falls asleep but that's just boring and no reaction if he doesn't wake up before I return it.

So I'd rather just tell Silver to get closer like bend down to my level and then just swipe his hat then and there.

I feel like Silver would just not have much of a reaction besides being a tad confused and a bit caught off guard by my sudden behavior but all in all Silver probably would not be too upset with me as I do a silly victory dance with his hat on my head. Taking photos of myself wearing his dorm hat and then promptly giving the hat back. Maybe even trying to place the hat back on top of his head too.

malleus draconia

he is slightly taken aback when you don't reciprocate his feelings. he tends to understand and interpret things wrongly- i mean, especially coming from humans. he wasn't expecting this, it also is understandably new to him as well. there just may have been a surprise like mentioned, he was a little saddened because when he feels, he feels strongly. but he doesn't actually find himself to really be all that upset about it soon after and understanding you better.

if anything, malleus would be quite content and satisfied if you didn't let his initial feelings get in the way of that. he would find himself just wanting you okay and you to be happy- even if that doesn't mean it's with him in a romantic sense. you've genuinely showed him and treated him with such kindness he thinks you deserve nothing but that as well. he will continue to be with you, even if its platonically.

lilia vanrouge

he never really confessed to you, because he already had some sense of understanding that you'll never reciprocate those feelings. lilia is observant-- so even if you don't mention it to him, he easily picks up on your feelings and generally who you are. never seemed to bring it up though, he only keeps note. now, lilia has lived for several hundred years, he's experienced many kinds of feelings, heartbreaks, and such- so though he does love hard at times he has learned to not take it completely to heart.

lilia would still continue to watch over you and cherish you as a friend and that only. though yes, his feelings may linger in him for a while, he is well aware that the emotions will pass... eventually. it doesn't stop him from hanging out with you, popping up randomly and surprising you at school to talk with you, inviting you to diasomnia for tea. he'll never erase the current relationship the two of you have over his own feelings, you're too dear to him.

silver

he is conflicted, when he first realizes that he is starting to fall for you, it hits him like a brick. he doesn't know how to handle these emotions since he's never had much of the opportunity to experience them. you're his friend, who he can't help but feel enamored by. silver always seem to have this troubled look on his face more and more as time goes on. he notices that you probably wouldn't feel the same way, it wasn't until you offhandedly mention something about it him in conversation. you two are close, so it felt natural to.

it was then he fully understood, so he never confessed to you. he would silently nod and listen as you talked. he keeps it to himself- even if he can't be with you like that, he wants to be by your side still. you're a good soul and he'll seem to never shake off the feelings of protectiveness over someone like you. he's more than willing to stay by you, even as a friend.

sebek zigvolt

when it comes to sebek dealing with his growing feelings for you, you either can tell it from a mile away or think he hates you from his mixed signals. when he confesses to you, its abrupt and loud out of his own nervousness, that eventually turns into uncharacteristically quiet and quieter. when you deny his feelings, he doesn't understand, only because at first, he interpreted it as you genuinely not liking who he is. that is until you begin to carefully explain why not.

sebek just like the rest of diasomnia, will still want some sort of friendship with you. though, it does take him a while to go through the feelings of rejection and handling these things- he doesn't want to let you go. he is a knight; he always has a sense of dedication.

But as it turns out, Mc had stumbled upon a baby dragon. A baby dragon who got very attached to Mc and went "yes this is my parent now" and Mc just wanted help with the basics of baby dragon care-

Grim just freaked out a lil', meanwhile Mc is cooing at the dragon whose currently nipping and biting their hair

Malleus Draconia

Malleus has no idea how to respond when Lilia brings MC back to the Diasomnia dorm with a baby dragon

at first, he's scared that MC hated the dragon and just wanted to pass it off to them

but when he sees them grinning and playing with the small creature, the dragon curling up happily in their lap, he knows that can't be it

he's a bit flustered seeing them with a baby dragon, since he'd forgotten how adorable baby dragons are

it also didn't help that he frequently thought about a potential future with MC as his partner

he does his best to assist them in caring for the small dragon, ensuring they and their dragon can stay in the dorms with them

Lilia Vanrouge

Lilia is overjoyed when he sees how well MC gets along with the baby dragon

he knew that humans usually had a 50/50 chance of hating or loving dragons, so he was glad they seemed to love it

he was more than happy to help, teaching MC what to feed the dragon and how to play with it

his heart swelled as he watched them develop into a great dragon parent, his face flushing slightly when they joked about him being the father

teases them about it a bit, calling them a fantastic parent and joking that they should have actual kids together at some point

Silver

Silver is a bit concerned with having a baby dragon in the dorms, mostly because babies are loud

once he realizes the dragon is actually pretty quiet, he's perfectly relaxed and ok with it

he likes watching the dragon run around and play before yawning and collapsing on its 'parent'

he jokes that MC would make a good babysitter and should therefore watch the Diasomnia first years

his eyes always seem to soften when he watches MC spend time cuddling or caring for the dragon

he can't help but wonder how they'd be with their own children, potentially with him

Sebek Zigvolt

Sebek is very against the idea of an untrained baby dragon anywhere near Malleus

after everyone involved insists there's nothing to worry about, he accepts it but keeps an eye out anyway

he ends up spending a lot of time with both MC and the baby dragon as a result

he grows really attached to the baby, petting it frequently and insisting he also be allowed to feed it

his face grows red as a cherry when Lilia first comments that Sebek seems like the dragon's third parent (other than him and MC of course)

he tries to push it from his mind, but his head beats rapidly any time he thinks about himself and MC as parents together...

Malleus Draconia

Can’t drive. It’s a mix of not being tech-savvy, and not having the need. He’s the future king, he logistically has no need to drive. Also it never turns out well when he tries.

Will stare out the window in silence, pondering; be it gargoyle design and history, what Lilia, Silver and Sebek are doing, to a future invitation. In short, he daydreams.

He also does not see the appeal of modern vehicles. Horse-drawn carriages have worked stupendously for ages. And then there’s also magic. Humans are odd creatures for inventing such things.

Only so many people who work for him are able to drive, so his options are rather limited… but he knows better than to have Lilia be his driver; his only real safe option is Sebek.

Did take public transit once, out of curiosity. It becomes a ritual of his to take it once a week for the full route just to people-watch. He saw Azul one time, Kalim the other time chatting to a man with a saxophone, and he could have sworn he saw Idia sulking in the corner.

Lilia Vanrouge

He doesn’t have a license, and he really shouldn’t drive, but he does. He is THE speed demon, putting Epel to shame [I am speed]. Do not get in the car with Lilia under any circumstance.

He blasts a deafening mix of screamo, bagpipes, tavern music, and ‘Throw Back Thursdays’. You can hear him coming before you even see him. An absolute madman, but a great racer.

Takes phone calls all the time and has almost crashed on several occasions; don’t be like Lilia.

Before his car somehow disappeared during the night, he had it decked out to the nines; bumper stickers, a small army of bobble heads on the dash and back, fuzzy dice on the rear view mirror. His car also had a few dents from some scrapes he went through.

He has to stick to horse drawn carriages and teleportation now since there seems to be a ban on him at every dealership. But they are no where near as fun as taking good old Mim out for a spin, yes he named his car. Again, I question how Silver survived his childhood.

Silver

He decides against driving due to his sleeping condition, and doesn’t want to put others in danger due to it. 

He sticks mainly to his horse, brooms, and joins Malleus along his weekly public transit adventures. He enjoys the bonding time he and his horse have, and provides as an outlet to reflect. Whereas he joins Malleus on transit due to safety reasons, and also as added bonding time without Sebek.

Speaking of the bus, he has noticed a few others every now and then; Azul looking flustered next to a screaming toddler. Kalim with some saxophone person. And Idia sulking and trying to disappear in on himself. Wait, where did Malleus go?

He NEVER gets in the car with Lilia, EVER; thank Sevens he only acquired the car when he started attending NRC and he only had it for about a year before it “disappeared”.

He encourages Sebek with his driving lessons, and also acts as a moderator since the only people willing to teach him are humans. Overall, he isn’t bothered that he doesn’t drive, and is confident in his decision.

Sebek Zigvolt

Defensive driver, heavy on the breaks and goes below the speed limit. Looks at Lilia as a clear bad example, so he has to resort to taking lessons from Trey, who was kind enough to offer, and his dad. He’s the only hope for Diasomnia.

He refuses to listen to anything while driving, as it is a distraction and he can’t tolerate distractions. Probably would have the radio removed from the car if he were able to.

His phone is on silent, the only notifications he gets are from his emergency contacts; Malleus, Lilia, and his mother. Each one has a different ringtone so he knows who is calling.

Insists that there be no decorations. The only thing that is remotely personal is a novelty gargoyle air freshener Malleus had gifted him from one of his outings. Otherwise it looks like it came straight from the dealership.

Has road irritation and will shout about how people shouldn’t be on the road. He only gets proper road rage when Malleus is in the car. Do you know who you endangered with your tactless driving, human?! DO YOU?!
