Bumi froze.
Kya crashed into his back, but they managed to stay upright. He covered her mouth, seeing the storm she’d unleash on him if he didn’t get her distracted, and fast.
“Did you see that?!”
Her brow’s furrows slid from angry to confused plus angry, which would be worse.
Awkwardly, he shimmied her around him so she could peek past the corner of the dormitory, into the garden behind the family’s wing.
The confusion won out.
He dropped his hand, and couldn’t stop her from shouting -
“Lin! Did you kiss Pema?!”
“Yes, she did,” came Tenzin’s voice from behind.
