//Alright, well how about the first one being how Neji firmly believes the Byakugan to be superior to the Sharingan (which in terms of sheer power it’s confirmed, unless we start bringing Mangekyo’s into play) and he’s very vocal about it when on ANBU missions with Itachi but it’s often Itachi who ends up bailing Neji out more often then the other way around, prompting Neji to slightly pout about his own dojutsu for the rest of the mission.
Neji and Itachi aren’t really what most would call friends. People will see them on missions and they’ll laugh and have a great time, but they always go their separate ways in the village and rarely are ever seen meeting unless for mission business. On both sides there are people asking about the other and how they are as friends and they both deny to being more than partners and comrades though realistically either of them would do things people would consider only friends to do like listen if one had a problem or carry out unwarranted favours.
The sword they make ANBU carry? Neji hates it, he hates it so damn much. Neji finds it unnecessary since he has the best gentle fist of his generation though Itachi is forever telling him to use it. Usually Itachi and Neji will get into arguments mid battle over it and Neji will eventually pick it up only to fake some reason to drop it and shrug with a sarcastic ‘whoops’ as he uses gentle fist to take out the rest and apologizing as he returns the sword to it’s sheathe.
Neji has a reputation for being difficult, obviously. They’ve tried reassigning him to a new captain multiple times and every time Neji half asses a mission until it’s intentionally a failure so they’ll reassign him back to Itachi. Itachi is the only captain he’s ever had that he hasn’t hated because he treats Neji as Neji not as the Hyuga Prodigy. Itachi is the only captain who doesn’t purposely try to assert his dominance over Neji and because of this Neji only listens to Itachi.
**a special bonus 5th one because I made you wait so long. Neji and Itachi rarely ever meet outside of missions, but when they do it’s ALWAYS at the tea house in Konoha. Itachi loves the dango and Neji is way too fond of tea so if they’re found together, it’s always with tea and dango.
