Just want to be 100% honest with you all right now…
I truly am a nightmare… one week I want to run, the next week I want to train weights, the week after I want to do spinning…. they all have one thing in common though… I still want to lose weight!!!
so yeah I have been doing for the past week weights AND running for this half marathon and its been too hard! its the aching after the weights that’s bothering me.
Let me explain… on a Saturday I do Back workout. Not exactly the smallest body part to do… so then I go for a 6 mile run on the sunday… yep can you imagine the pain!!
Most of you are thinking why do back before a run? Well what else could I have done? arms…. they hurt while running, Shoulders - its the same for every body part!
So then I thought I’ll do weight training, day off, run… well I don’t know about you but I always ache MORE 2 days after… trust me I’ve looked at every single scenario and I can’t do it.
Also…./ mentally! I thought I was strong enough to beat the little fat voice in my head and I sooo am not! it’s like when you run, someone tells you its okay to eat crap because you’ve run it off… yet when you weight train you don’t think twice about eating shit!!! argh!!! it’s so annoying.
So yeah.. the reason I’m sharing and telling you this is because I’m going back to basics, I’m going back to when my picture’s where the best they have ever been! December. Which means Novembers diet and mind was on point!
So a little re-shuffle and I’m on and I’m ready. Chris is not going to know whats hit him when I see him in May. I’m setting myself a goal to lose 7lbs in 4 weeks… I’ve lost 1lb this week so slow and steady but I was still recovering from septic tonsillitis.
Bikini, summer body I am seriously coming for you!!! I’ve come such a long way!

Wednesday & Thursday Eats
These were my last two days before starting my diet and exercise regiment. I'm not going to bore you with the gory details, but it involves a delicious veggie pizza, a celebratory cupcake and last night's chips & salsa. Farewell to you, pizza! Farewell to you, desserts! Farewell to you CHIPS! I love you all.
Monday eats.
Before I start following my self-imposed diet and exercise rules, I am getting real.
Here's what I stuffed into my gullet today:
Apple & 1 tbsp peanut butter
Two 12 oz. cups of coffee with cream
1 serving of homemade veggie soup (veg broth, various veggies)
15 pita chips & 1 tbsp hummus
Grilled tilapia plate w/ spanish rice, black beans and pico de gallo with 2 flour tortillas
Lots of water
A sneaky handful of leftover movie Reese's pieces. (bad)
Reviewing today's munchies, in February, I would not have the pita chips, but would replace them with celery or carrots to dip in the hummus. I would also cut out the spanish rice (sub with brown rice) and the flour tortillas. Oh, and definitely ixnay on the Reese's ieces-pay.
Could have been worse.
Tomorrow's goal? Waking up at 6:30 am, hitting the gym, and taking Bro for at least a 20 min walk at work, PLUS my lunchtime stairs and walking routine at work.
