Different Wavelengths: Chapter Five

We’re not quite at the end, although Duke would like to be! This is the penultimate chapter! In which Duke does not ‘retraumatise himself’; he is investigating a case. There’s a difference. And I tap the Duke-Alfred wasp nest, because I can.

Good news: I finished the first section (over 3k words) of Different Wavelengths Chapter Three! Chapter Two should be out soon!

Why did I decide to write a sparring session. I hate writing fight scenes. I know nothing about ultra-advanced Bat fighting. What am I doing.

(I know why, it’s because Duke and Cass debating in her first language as well as her second works for the scene. But it’s still HARD.)
