So I just wanna throw you a quick but emphatic THANKYOU for all the stuff you do. I've said it before but your CC is just incredible and it's pretty much the only stuff I'll put in my game. It's even the little things you do like making sure the "colors" tab has all the right colors chosen, punctuation and capitol letters in your descriptions, the sorting is correct, it's all spot on. I just wanted to say it doesn't go unnoticed and is very much appreciated :)

Thank you! I wouldn’t put too higher expectations on spelling though, I am horrible with it and without a spellcheck feature, stuff does go unnoticed. 

I am a perfectionist with the other stuff though. I don’t think cc is complete without all the tags properly filled out and consistent (especially between items of a set). It is probably one of the more time-consuming aspects of cc creating, but worth it in the end.

Hey been following you for a while (your posts and sims are adorable) and lately with all the trouble with CC and this not working and that not working due to patches I was just wondering how hard was it for you to go CC free? I think furniture I can do ok without, but CAS CC I just can’t even imagine. Anyway thanks :)

Hello! Thank you very very much! I always appreciate kind words. ♡I’m going to be as honest as I possibly can here. CAS CC was definitely the hardest for me too. There were 3 things I simply could NOT part with.

Jewelry (mainly multi-layered earrings) • Picky’s Veneers • Kijiko’s Lashes

I literally had to have a conversation with self that went something like this, “B, you don’t even NEED this. How often are you going to be inside your character mouth!” lol

It wasn’t until I began looking at CC-Free as being a skill. Something that required technique. [not throwing shade on ones that use it, I’ve been there] But to actually take something so vanilla and give it character and make it look good, was enticing to me.

Cartoons helped me too. Let’s just admit that I will always be fascinated with the evolution of them, no matter what age. If you look at a ton of 3D animated characters in the modern day, they don’t even have individual lashes, either! That’s what helped me let those go. The game started running smoother, faster, and like you mentioned, I got tired of the breaking, updating and fixing cc myself. I no longer create cc. I don’t even know what all of mine is broken [smh]. The rest is history and believe it or not, it’s fun trying to create something with only what you have. I enjoy playing the game. I realized at one point I was only tumbling for cc for the game, not playing it.

One more thing, I’ve been playing since 1. It’s a must that I give kudos to the development team on TS4. It’s not a lot that I want because they do really well with hair and clothing this time around. Granted, you’ll still see me putting on nail polish every now and again in-game. But I would NOT have been cc free in other Sims in the past. O.o

Hey there, this might be a dumb question but I know you updated some of your objects because you used that TSR object creation thingy. But aside from that is there any reason to redownload all the stuff you updated for C&D? I ran the batch fix from S4S (including the 12/12 one) so I think I'm good but I wasn't sure if you did more tweaks than that? Thanks :)

There are a few reasons, but most are cosmetic and some are usability. Some of the reasons I would suggest updating the files include:

My sofas are generally plushier then EA sofas so I had to adjust the rigs to make sure pets didn’t sink into them. it might not bother some people, but it bothered me. 

I added all the scratchability tags to items so your pets can actually scratch the furniture. 

I updated surfaces so cats have the option to jump on them

Made sure some surfaces can’t be jumped on

I fixed all the counters and islands which resulted in a bug where cats would sit in front of the counters instead of sitting on them (not sure if this has been included in batch fix yet)

I suggest downloading everything from grove furniture collection to Mid-century eclectic since I overhauled a lot of things in those sets. 

Optimised meshes for those I remade

Fixed all candle tuning which was causing script errors

Fixed round table tuning in Atwood dining 

fixed some shadow lod issues

Fixed light source heights for some lighting

Fixed thumbnails so icon is bottom right instead of top left (usability issue if you don’t have a wrench hider mod)

Fixed issue where tap location was wrong on bathtub

fixed smoothing group issues for most of my cc which happens on certain nVidia graphics cards and if you have not to applied the third party fix for anti aliasing

Added “peacemaker” to all object names as a universal search phrase. 

So there are definitely some good reasons to redownload. S4S is wonderful for fixing game-breaking issues, but my updates are often more then that, hopefully improving on usability and unlocking new interactions as updates are introduced. Whether it is worth updating is solely up to you. Though I do this a lot because many don’t use s4s for batch fixes and do rely on me to update content as it breaks.

Yeah WoD is a steaming pile sadly :( the new King's Quest was fun especially if you played the original ones. It's a little short though but it's episodic and only the first one has come out. I see people raving about Life Is Strange too.

My husband bought life is strange, he started playing it. But i need more substance. lol!

I like WoD at first, but the lore.. and what the are saying about the lore in WoL... don’t even get me started or we will be here for hours... My biggest disappointment with WoD is they completely fucking broke healers. I main a priest and it is no fun now. Holy is useless. and Disc. is just boring. Its just bubble, 100 bubble, penance, REKT.
