DIGITIZING LITERATURE MEANS DEMOCRATIZING SHORT FICTION
That's Niree's manifesto for ya. Writers + readers: we ask you to start shaping publishing. Visit connu.co to get started.
"Some 36 million American adults are in dire need of literacy services and resources — and libraries help fulfill that need. ProLiteracy, in partnership with the Onondaga County Public Library and the American Library Association Office for Literacy and Outreach Services, is launching a Library Literacy Action Agenda designed to help increase and expand adult literacy services in public libraries across the nation. Why libraries? Because today virtually all public libraries (99.3 percent) provide public access to computers and the Internet, and more than 87 percent of libraries provide formal or informal technology training."

Homework #3
1. It is important to follow the rules and manners of netiquette online for your safety and the safety of others. You don't want to reveal to much about yourself online because someone could use that information to find out who you are exactly and use that to hurt you. And if you post something bad about someone else it could easily ruin your their life and your's because what you post never gets deleted fully.
2.) I have not followed proper netiquette by revealing to much about myself online. On websites like tumblr and deviantART I have posted some things that are most likely not proper netiquette. Nothing to bad, just things like my name, my state, ect.
3.) It could affect our lives later on because what we post and upload never gets truly deleted and one day we'll find ourselves applying to college or for a job and what we post will appear which will cancel out any hopes we had of getting the job/scholarship.
