My little cousin drew a picture of Thomas the Tank engine, but he changed some details and gave him a new name, because he was (in his words) worried about copyright. I explained to him that you are in fact allowed to draw whatever character you want, and you won't get in trouble for it. He was very reluctant to believe it.

What fuckin world are we living in that a kid is afraid to draw a character from a show he likes by the age of ten? Kids in the 2020s have fully accepted the panopticon before they even hit puberty. It's insane. When I was ten I didn't even know what a copyright lawsuit was because I had no fucking reason to.

I'm really, really worried about raising my future kids in a world where mass surveillance is just... normalized. We need to start telling the next generation to revolt against this shit pronto because I'm not liking this.

Finally got around to trying to delete my 6 year old Facebook profile I uploaded a single picture to under duress from my parents. I have since been badgered relentlessly through TEXT messages updating me on other people's activities that they tag me or whatever.

SURPRISE TO NO ONE: there is apparently no way to outright delete an account, after nearly an hour or digging through settings pages. I can "remove" my "account" but the associated pop up also tells me that this will in no way deactivate or delete my account- just remove me from accessing it. YES there is a difference, and NO I don't care about just removing my access to it.

Oh and in the same ballpark, there is no way to uninstall YouTube on my phone. I can "disable" it but not completely remove it from my phone.

I initially wanted both of these gone for normal reasons- I was tired of Facebook texting me updates to other people's activity, and I wanted to remove a distraction on my phone. Now I can see the Corporate claws digging into my shoulder, refusing to let go. This is no longer about convenience or healthy habits, this is about removing myself from the system. Corporate Fascism may brazenly rule over America, but I must first free myself before I can free others.

I missed my chance to say Happy Pride Month, but let me wish you all a wonderful Wrath Month! Don't let them turn us against each other, none of that LGBT without the T bullshit that Big Brother whispered to you in your dreams or whatever. PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE, AND ANYONE WHO TREATS PEOPLE AS LESSER TREMBLE IN FEAR OF US RISING UP AGAINST THEM! LET THEM CHUCKLE ATOP THEIR IVORY TOWERS, THEIR SNEERING GRINS SHALL GIVE WAY TO GASPS OF AGONY AS THEY SIP THEIR POISONED WINE! FOR IT IS WE THE PEOPLE WHO WERE ENSLAVED TO BUILD THEIR TOWERS, BUT WE SHALL TEAR THEM DOWN TO RUBBLE! LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION!

Ok but for real I live in Texas, I could probably just buy a sniper rifle and kill maybe one or two billionaires before I get caught? I dunno I'm just sick of the world's bullshit and the people in power making everything worse for their own person gain.
