Headcanons:

Armitage tries desperately not to be like his father but fails.

He doesn't grow a beard lest he might look like him in the mirror,

Even then when he looks in the mirror he sees his father glaring back at him.

Every time he fails he hears his father's voice berating him.

Still his father is mocking him in his mind because he'll still unconsciously do the same habits his father had,

Intentional or not he'd sound and act like his father.

Anyone pointing out similarities he has to his father will make him shudder.
