2: What scene did you first put down? 

I actually started writing MMH from the very beginning. I had a bunch of thoughts and ideas, but I started it when I was half way through Such Selfish Prayers. I was sitting in a car in a parking lot in Worcester, Massachusetts. I’d gotten to a gymnastics competition too early and was killing time. While I was sitting there, I wrote the first couple of scenes.

It always started with “Kurt was changing his shoes,” but originally it was “Jack, the cute (but taken) dance captain” who asked Kurt to come out with them. Back then Andrew didn’t exist, Alex didn’t exist, Jaques didn’t exist, Zeke didn’t exist. When we went through revisions, @loveinisolation asked me why the very first line of my fic was about some dude who never showed up again. And I had no idea.

For the record, I wrote through the point where Rachel brings Kurt’s dance bag to the cafe. Then I wrote the scene where Sebastian proposes in the park. Bookends!

general opinions: parse! is!! so!! hurt!!! I really feel for him. There are a lot of unsaid perceptions about him that I really, really identify with, and also he’s very slytherin which is also a thing that appeals to me. I dunno, I just get a very “i am suppressing very important feelings” aura from him and it strikes me as v sad and v intriguing. also he’s sexy & i love him. (:
