Bag of Cans (Norwich, England) "We Are A Band" is their debut album on Fierce Panda (London). I've neither heard of the band or the label, but all three songs currently available on Bandcamp are great.

"Pub Money" sounds like Parquet Courts, while "Hostage at the Dinner Table" and "Sorry Mum That I Was Hungover This Christmas" alternately sound like Gorky's Zygotic Mynci or Race Horses. The Bandcamp page mentions that they borrowed from Dingus Khan and Blur.

I got pulled up on stage one time at a Future of the Left gig in Cardiff and played the bass.

At a different gig in the same venue, I ate a banana with Dingus Khan.

This concludes the list of my brushes with fame.

VIDEO: DINGUS KHAN - MILK OF EVERY MAMMAL (LIVE)

Tomorrow (Saturday 21st October), Manningtree's much-missed, festival-filleting gonzo-grotrock sexpot sextet Dingus Khan make their long-awaited return to the live arena with a gig at Bury St Edmunds Hunter Club.  

To celebrate, and to get you firmly in the mood for love and action, here they are with a sterling live rendition of their 2015 standalone single 'Milk Of Every Mammal' for Get Known Be Heard. 

You can also experience Dingus Khan live at Colchester Arts Centre on 2nd November and Manningtree Red Lion on 17th November.  Their sophomore LP, 'Dunce Kap', will be released on 3rd November via Antigen Records, and you can find out more about it here.

NEWS: SMELLS LIKE KHAN-DO SPIRIT

The World of buoyantly beserk rock 'n' roll action is aflame with celebration at the news that Manningtree's answer to the Manson Family, Dingus Khan, are finally set to release their second album, 'Dunce Kap', on 3rd November via Antigen Records. 

Arriving five long years after debut platter 'Support Mistley Swans' brought synchronised interpretive dance back into fashion, 'Dunce Kap''s 13 tracks will include 2015 standalone single 'Milk Of Every Mammal' alongside long-time live favourites 'Hiahwahey', 'Dustbin Gravy' and 'Japanese Fighting Bugs'. 

In an anonymous missive to B-Side HQ, the band declared: "'Dunce Kap' is an album for a world beyond satire, where stupidity has become a transatlantic competition. A soundtrack for the teary-eyed imperial nostalgia of Brexit Britain, waiting patiently for a £350 million weekly windfall for the NHS, while Lord Howard calls for war with Spain. Dunce Kap is music for a moment in time when 63 million Americans vote to hand Trump the codes to the world’s second largest nuclear arsenal, without checking he knows what uranium is. An album for a world where we need public service announcements to warn climate change deniers not to fire automatic weapons into a hurricane. 'Dunce Kap' is monobrow art for a lowbrow culture... a glorious celebration of a world where spectacular displays of idiocy are so common, the slapstick post-punk buffoonery of Dingus Khan now seems normal."
