This morning [15 July 2020] a group of I Have A Voice ambassadors met with the Minister for Disabled People, Health and Work. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the Disability Confident Scheme. All employers can sign up to this, yet only 0.29% have. We did this week and it is super easy and gives you access to resources if you want to make sure you're disability confident. 19% (almost 1 in 5) of the working age population report having a disability. So our ambassadors want more employers to become disability confident.
