I get that I am more exposed to disabled people and disability, and I need to recognise that fact more often, but how hard is it to look at a product and recognise that it's not for you!! or just in general to remember that disabled people exist!! and trying to understand their experiences?! Is it not the common human experience to try to understand perspectives and experiences that don't align with yours?!
Okay so the whole Hawaii situation is making me upset bc after being made aware of the situations there and how locals can’t even use water like they need to (tourism and apparently the Navy), why are you as a stupid whore defending taking you and the whole family on a vacation there when there’s millions of other places to go? Why are y’all fighting so hard to go there?? I swear people will act like their rights are being taken away when asked to consider other perspectives, but y’all don’t give a damn about POCs fighting for their rights every day. Y’all don’t even see the physically and/or mentally disabled as real people. And y’all damn sure don’t mind imprisoning parents of trans children and go out of your way to make the LGBTQIA+ community feel unsafe. Not y’all fighting to cure autism??? Fuck outta here. That’s the difference between me and you. I fight for rights you fight for fucking privileges you self-entitled pieces of shit
It's a video about a petition for changing the actual french system of allowances for disabled people unable to work or only partially, actually if they're in a relationship with someone who is able to work, the allowances are withdrawn which leaves them financially dependent on their partner which is problematic and even more so in an abusive relationship. So please if you're french and above 18 could please consider signing it (all the links are in the video), if you're not but have french followers, please reblog . If the petition has more than 100,000 signatures the french government has a legal obligation to deal with this law.
No closed-door commissions to gut Social Security!

As your constituent, I am deeply concerned about the potential threat that a closed-door fiscal commission poses to Social Security and Medicare. These essential programs are lifelines for millions of seniors, veterans, disabled persons, and children in our country. Any cuts or changes to them should be made openly and with thorough discussion and public input. The fact that the commission's proceedings would be closed-door raises suspicions that these bills’ supporters have something to hide from the American people, who overwhelmingly prefer to see these programs expanded, not cut. I strongly urge you to reject any proposals for a closed-door fiscal commission and support bills like Rep. John Larson’s Social Security 2100 Act which strengthen Social Security over the long term and expand benefits.
