a frankenstein adaptation composed of stolen clips from older adaptations st. stitched together.
they spent billions on this
went to go check myself
They may have fixed the answer to that question, but one thing they HAVEN'T fixed is the general "yes and" thing AI has going on.
Billions of dollars, people. Billions of dollars.
Note how they haven't fixed this, they are just covering it up now that it's going viral. Please remember that it is going to be just as batshit on topics where you don't know enough to easily see that it's wrong.
Reminder: "Aroace" is not the umbrella term for aromantics & asexuals.
It only specifically refers to those who are on both spectra simultaneously. The aroace flag also only represents people who are on both spectra simultaneously.
If you mean all aromantics and all asexuals, you need to say something along the lines of "aromantics and asexuals" or "aros & aces". "Aspecs" also exists, though this is not exclusive to aromantics and asexuals, since it also includes everyone who's on at least one atertiary spectrum (aplatonics, afamilials, asensuals, etc)
I'd appreciate reblogs on this so it reaches the people who need to see it, thank you!

dear experienced pagans:
I know it can get annoying to see beginners asking the same questions over and over, but please consider this. most religious people are born into their religion, with parents and a community to bring their questions to, when they're still children. the vast majority of pagans do not have that luxury. it is our responsibility, as a community, to show compassion and understanding, and to answer their questions, or point them in the direction of someone who can. to give them sources and materials and encourage them to study on their own. each person doesn't have to respond to the same question, but if you see a post that's gone unanswered for a few hours or a few days, maybe consider helping that person instead of mocking them. if you want to build a stronger community, it HAS to start with building each other up and welcoming each other. we can't form any kind of community when newcomers are ridiculed for their questions.
being anti ai is making me feel like in going insane. "you asked for thoughts about your characters backstory and i put it into chat gpt for ideas". studies have proven its making people dumber. "i asked ai to generate this meal plan". its causing water shortages where its data centers are built. "ill generate some pictures for the dnd campaign". its spreading misinformation. "meta, generate an image of this guy doing something stupid". its trained off stolen images, writing, video, audio. "i was talking with my snapchat ai-" theres no way to verify what its doing with the information it collects. "youtube is impletmenting ai based age verification". my work has an entire graphics media department and has still put ai generated motivational posters up everywhere. ai playlists. ai facial verification. google ai microsoft ai meta ai snapchat ai. everyone treats it as a novelty. every treats it as a mandatory part of life. am i the only one who sees it? am i paranoid? am i going insane? jesus fucking christ. if i have to hear one more "well at least-" "but it does-" "but you can-" im about to lose it. i shouldnt have to jump through hoops to avoid the evil machine. have you no principles? no goddamn spine? am i the weird one here?

Hi guys just a reminder if your ‘inclusive community’ includes Nazis, or giving space to Nazis. It’s a Nazi community.
You will never have minorities feeling safe in your community while Nazis thrive there. Harmful ideologies do not burn out from being kind to them and hoping they’ll change their mind, it often is more likely for them to think they are being approved of and they can continue the hateful behavior quietly.
Also if you’re ‘no politics’ to avoid confrontation within your space, you shouldn’t be a leader in your space. If you want to lead, lead, avoidance isn’t leading.
"There are protests, your majesty."
"Good," said the Emperor. "What are they protesting?"
"Grain prices. But why are protests good?"
"What would you call a society with no protests?"
"Happy, your majesty."
"I would call it oppressed. Prepare a report on their grievances."
I just got a spinning wheel !!! she's a bit dusty but she's beautiful and she's mine! and I got her with a good bit of fibre on the distaf , I'm so frickin excited
An incomplete list of reasons why crafting helps my mental health (and might help yours, too):
It stops me from doom scrolling: can't go on social media if my hands are full of yarn.
It gives me a sense of agency: a lot of things are messed up in a way that's beyond my control, but I can make something that didn't used to exist. It's evidence that I'm alive and I can impact the world, even if the impact is small.
It builds my tolerance for mistakes: I grew up a perfectionist , which is really bad for my wellness and my ability to complete tasks. But crafts are a great source of low-stakes mistakes to help me learn how to handle imperfection. And while there are certainly mistakes I'll always fix, I also have many opportunities to decide a mistake is acceptable and leave it in favor of getting to the finish line.
It interrupts rumination: even if I'm still chewing on some troubling news, it's not front of mind if I need to focus on getting this seam straight or whatever
It helps me meet good people: although there are obvious exceptions, I've found most craft-centered spaces (IRL and online) to be full or supportive, kind, helpful people in all walks of life
It encourages a growth mindset: I'm always learning new things in crafting, and that builds my identity as someone who can grow and improve.
And finally, making your own clothes is empowering: I know this is specific to fiber crafts, but it's important. When you make your own clothes, you flip the notion that you're supposed to "fit into" a certain size and instead remember that clothes are supposed to fit you. You get to learn how to dress the body you have with love and care, instead of allowing manufacturers decide how clothes should look.
Pattern drafting / clothing alteration side of Tumblr I need help. How do you draft / alter for a neck hump? My thought is to deepen the neck curve of the back yolk piece. Would this work? If you have any advice regarding this I would much appreciate it ^_^
EVERYONE SHUT THE FUCK UP SCIENTISTS AT THE SCHMIDT OCEAN INSTITUTE HAVE FOOTAGE OF A LIVE COLOSSAL SQUID FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
🦑‼️🦑‼️🦑‼️🦑‼️🦑‼️🦑
for context, scientists have know about these mfs for like a HUNDRED YEARS but only now have they actually seen one ALIVE !!
Colossal squid are known to be elusive and likely avoid the bright and loud research equipment used underwater.
this is a juvenile colossal squid!! it's transparent to camouflage in the shallower waters where it lives at this stage of its life. it'll head deeper and turn redder the older it gets- red light is the wavelength least able to penetrate water, so the deeper you go the quicker the red filters out. red or black marine life is hardest to see down there because there's no red light to reflect off the animal, it'll just be dark! stealthy abyssal terror in the making <3
“It’s all UPGs?” “Always has been”
Question everything you read here. Use your critical thinking skills. Is what you’re reading true to your practice? It might not be, even if it’s true to the practice of the person sharing. The fact of the matter is that witchblr is just a bunch of people sharing their UPGs (unverified personal gnosis, for those who don’t know). Take what applies to you and discard the rest. Everyone’s practice is different and that’s beautiful! But that means what anyone here says is not universal
Also no one here is the authority figure on witchcraft, and if they’re pretending to be, RUN!!!!!
So yeah, take everything here with a grain of salt. That includes me. That includes those more widely known witch blogs. That includes every single one of us here
But also just because something isn’t true to you does not mean it isn’t true to the person sharing it. Don’t go attacking others because your UPG contradicts their UPG
