2017年2月17日 Yesterday I bought a dotted Leuchtturm notebook for my new bullet journal. My old one served me well during university so I can’t wait to get started with this new one. I've never actually tried dotted paper before, when I first started my bullet journal the original creator was drawing square boxes for his check lists but it seems like the system has changed to dotted paper now. :D
No studying today.
//Don't read further if your are screaming, thank you. ;; // I got chemical burns from cleaning products today. I didn't realise that it had gone through my shirt after I'd finished cleaning the bathroom. I didn't even know what it was at first, I just thought I'd scratched so hard that my skin had come off, but then I noticed the epidermal layer of skin that hadn't come off had gone rubbery and weird. Then I knew for sure it was the cleaning products, the patches of moisture on my shirt also confirmed it. I must be more careful next time. I was just so keen to give the bathroom a thorough scrub down...be productive with house work too. ;; Feeling sorry for myself so no study. I'll probably be back on the maths and Japanese tomorrow.
TIL Deck (for any language)
I’ve started to use an extra deck for reading. Whenever I come across a word I haven’t encountered yet. I’ll make a note of it.
This list of words goes into a deck called TIL (today I learned...in the spirit of reddit).
I review all the words (or at least the useful ones) I found, in this deck so I can focus on just these words. Sometimes I’ll add the sentence I encountered them in aswell so I can remember where it might have come from or how it is used.
After reviewing it to completion, I add them into my main deck
Then I read the passage again.
When I have my list of words, I go to anki first and search to see if they are in any of the decks I already have. If they are, I move them over to TIL and review them with the rest of the words. It helps cut down time making new cards or having duplicate cards.
New Vocab cards:
Random new cards from my main vocabulary deck (daily)
Cards relating to words I had come across in context, from the TIL deck (whenever I do reading practice)
I just rediscovered the best site for revisiting topics from the Genki books.
It has all their audio uploaded there. Lessons and explanations for the grammar and kanji. They even went so far as to re-record dialogues themselves. How cute. It's so useful. ;; I should be finished properly with Genki II and onto Tobira in no time. I just need to practice! :) I was also good today and finished all 125 words to review in Anki today. ;; <3 <3
There’s nothing nicer than seeing this on Anki especially after being a bit behind on reviews. 😌 Maybe I can keep it up for tomorrow as well. Try not to break the streak. 💯📚📖
