How can one differentiate politics from virtue? Fighting the good fight isn't a bounded proposition; any holy warrior fights in every field available to them. Squire is a vocal proponent of active paladinry in each corner of life, and to decry her actions as some sort of magically out-of-bound "politics" means only that the hater has calculatedly marked off an area of life for total immorality and can't bear to be called out on it. Keep fighting the good fight, Squire. Keep fighting, Paladin.

I love how this is turning into a thing about politics and it's no longer about the way Squire is. Reveals that when y'all talk about politics and doing good, which are inextricably linked, that the politics of good are seen as bad. For the record, I support Squire and the fact that being good doesn't always mean abiding by the arbitrary laws a society has created.

Biggest difference between Squire and Paladin I've seen thus far: Squire: no chill, will declare her intent to smite you from across the battlefield. Paladin: also no chill, but you only discover this after you've arrogantly wandered well within smiting distance. Both equally valid approaches to paladinhood.

I’m yet to see someone send hate without going anon. People seem to forget that Squire got here because of the huge amount of asks that Paladin couldn’t answer to. And the addition to paladin content that Squire brings with her is refreshing, even though I still love Paladin’s take on it. So what if she’s going through (1/2)

a rough period and Paladin wants to help her? By using HIS OWN BLOG to boost it? So what if she wants to punch nazis? I just assumed that everyone who followed this blog wanted to do the same! Also, because I forgot: fuck nazis. They deserve to be punched. Nazi ideology calls for the death of innocent people beacuse of who they are, what they look like, what they believe in. If you shut nazis up with a fist in their mouth, the likelihood of seeing something like the events right before WW2 started is very low. WW2 was a direct effect of not wanting to fight twisted ideologies like this. (3/2)

I must admit, this blog has recently been frustrating due to you, Squire, and I want to try to communicate why that is, but I also want to do that in a respectful manner that doesn't come off as an attack or as hateful (hence being off anon; I'm typically VERY shy about sending asks of any kind). It seems daunting, though, particularly since most of the asks that you field you seems to divide into "Squire's the best" and "Squire's shit garbage". And I do like you, so I worry; I'm bad with words.

I think a lot of people just aren't used to more rebellious ideas of justice and enjoy rules and strict criteria so naturally they're apprehensive or just don't right angry about the change in voices. Order and Rebellion are important, one keeps things on track and the other makes sure that the latter doesn't do it unethically.

I do consider myself Lawful Good, but that doesn’t mean I’m nice to Evil. And I am human and make mistakes. And Rebellion is essential to justice.

I frankly love what Squire brings to wearepaladin. People complain about them being too political or agressive, then when they complain about it to Paladin they get the same thing smacked right in their face. It reminds me of the Reinhardt Brigitte dynamic in the best way.
