Ooktober 2025 Day 3 - The Grim Squeaker
grace is an eridian the same way carrot is a dwarf
Inktober Day 17, Salty: a dwarf's lunch !
the way dwarves in discworld went from, the joke is all they all the same and sometimes they end up in gay relationships but its no big deal because dwarves dont have gender their just dwarves, to EVERY DWARF has a binary gender deep inside them that is REPRESSED by genderless dwarf society and to BE FREE they must have the right to come out as binary male or female! in the authors attempts to provide good representation for trans people like, A+ for effort but, he did better when he wasn't trying, he did the BEST queer representation in fiction when he wasn't trying and the worst when he was, and he tried so hard and listened to so many queer people to try and get it right so it's not fair he took the L so hard.
PTerry //literally// said trans rights 🏳️⚧️✨✨🏳️⚧️
The TERFs are digging deep on Twitter right now to justify their claim that Terry Pratchett would have been gender critical... Which is ironic because Terry Pratchett actually wrote gender critical characters who were also fond of digging deep. They are the Deep-Downers. They’re terrorists.
I may have missed something in the books but I’m pretty sure 99.999999% of the dwarf population have beards. So why doesn’t Carrot have a beard?
We know that he is a dwarf. He was raised as a dwarf and he considers himself a dwarf. So one would think he has a beard at some point. Of course, in Guards! Guards! he’s only 16/17 but in the later books it would make sense for him to have a beard. In all the fanart and book descriptions I don’t think he’s ever described to have one; he is quite big and I feel like puberty probably hit him like a train so I don’t reckon it’s a physical thing.
Is there some sort of Watch rule? But Cheery has a beard so clearly they are allowed- at least for dwarfs. I’m very much wondering.
halfway through Thud! i was considering if maybe my “Discworld dwarfs are Jews” theory didn’t hold up in this book and then….
