Is Tumblr promoting fake news now??

I keep getting this ad and a similar one before it but there is NOTHING about Robert Irwin being arrested anytime in the last three months. I think the image is AI. It's not even on News.com, the supposed source. It's fake. This looks more like a virus link than a legitimate ad. Automatic are we even vetting these things?

Reminder that Israel has a web brigade just like Russia does, where their purpose is to go on social media and sites with comment sections and spread disinfo in favor of their country.

They don’t announce themselves and their intent. That’s part of the point. And to them, simply confusing people and muddying the waters is enough of a “win.” They want people to feel like if they won’t support the country they’re brigading for, then they at least “shouldn’t get involved.”

It makes committing genocide and other atrocities much easier.
