These delectable Red Velvet Mickey Cookies are a tasty treat inspired by everyone's favorite Disney character. The iconic Mickey Mouse shape adds a touch of magic to your baking endeavors, and the red velvet cookie base is studded with white and semisweet chocolate chips. Ingredients: 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 3/4 cup granulated sugar. 3/4 cup packed brown sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 teaspoons red food coloring. 1 cup white chocolate chips. 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips. Black gel icing for Mickey's features.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 375F 190C and put parchment paper on baking sheets. Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium-sized bowl with a whisk. Put butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl and beat them together until they are smooth. Slowly add the eggs, making sure to mix well after each one. Add the red food coloring and vanilla extract and mix well. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix them together until they are just combined. Add the semisweet and white chocolate chips and mix them in. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the baking sheets that have been prepared and shape them into the heads of Mickey Mouse. After the oven is hot, bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the middle is still a little soft. Take the cookies out of the oven and let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets. Then, move them to wire racks to cool completely. The cookies should be cool before you use black gel icing to make Mickey Mouse's face on them. Before you serve or store the cookies, let the frosting set.
