Well We're about 6 years out (21st of this month) from Frozen Ever After Opening, and I can safely say the Projected Faces on the animatronics STILL Look Awful. They just look so... off, and stand out in a bad way. They don't look good and I don't like it.

I always hoped that the ride would get an update or Referb with those new high tech animatronics with real faces and and stop using these with the projected faces but that never happened, and at this point I don't think it ever will

Now Maybe if that Dinseyland Forward thing does happen and they do add a Frozen Land with Ever After as an Attraction, there's a chance that Mayyyybeeeee they'll update the animatronics there, or at least give them real faces and not reuse the projected faces. But who knows

Disneyland Resort Reveals Another New Proposal: Disneyland Backward

ANAHEIM, CA - Following in the wake of their DisneylandForward proposal, Disneyland Resort has announced another initiative designed to bring guests back to the park in droves: DisneylandBackward.

The announcement came as a surprise, as the project was kept tightly under wraps. “We know that new additions bring people to the parks reliably, but this time we wanted to try something more innovative,” said Disney CEO Bob Chapek.

So, what exactly does this new proposal entail? It’s complicated. “DisneylandBackward originally started as a plan to create a time travel attraction within the park. We wanted it to be as immersive as possible, so we planned to build a real time machine that would take guests back into Disneyland’s storied past,” Chapek explained. Guests would reportedly be able to leave the machine and walk around in whatever era of Disneyland they so chose. “Then we realized how expensive that would be,” Chapek continued, “so we just programmed all the rides to run backwards instead.”

When Disneyland reopens later this month, guests will be able to experience the park like never before. Famous attractions such as Pirates of the Caribbean and “it’s a small world” will take guests backwards through their show scenes and stories. Even thrill rides like Splash Mountain and the Matterhorn will run backwards. “You won’t be able to see as much, but don’t worry,” Chapek said. “It’s all part of the magic! Plus it will save us millions on theming.”

If DisneylandBackward is successful, Chapek hinted that there are further plans down the line. “I’m not saying we’re going to do DisneyCaliforniaAdventureSideways, but who am I kidding? That’s exactly what we’re going to do.”
