Red plaid or Blue plaid, I love what I do!
This is me.
Like I said I’m Jocelyn. I’m 23 years old and I am from the big city of New York and lived there all my life… Well until college! I went to college in Connecticut and while there I realized life was too short to not follow your dreams! So, junior year I decided to do the Disney College Program in sunny Orlando and LOVED it! It was a dream come true working for Disney and I wanted to continue. However, I knew that Disney would always be there so I went back to school finished my last year of College and graduated with a Bachelors in May 2014! After graduation, I decided to do another college program. This time in the motherland, that’s right Disneyland! So I packed up and moved to Southern California and worked in Disneyland for my second college program. During my time in Disney I realized that my next dream was to wear the Disney plaid. Yup, you guessed it Guest Relations. I wanted to be a tour guide and general source of knowledge and help to all who visit Disney parks. So I applied for a professional internship in guest relations and was selected! Being selected was one of the happiest moments of my life because my Disney career goals were coming true. Accepting the role with Guest Relations meant moving back to the East coast because I'd be working Guest Relations in Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World resort! I was happy to come back, WDW is where I grew up taking family vacations and it was on the same coast as the rest of my family! So yeah, that's my brief background! I've been with Magic Kingdom Guest Relations since January 2015 and have a full time position here. I am also a tour guide hosting Disney's Family Magic tour and Disney's Keys to the Kingdom tour! I LOVE BEING A TOUR GUIDE, and I have plans on blogging my experiences! All that leads me to where I am now! Living in Florida and doing my dream job are amazing, but I don't know what's next. I don't want to do this forever and I definitely don't want to live in Florida for the rest of my life. Moral of the story: this blog will be about figuring out what's next. Struggling with whether I should stay with the company, or go back to school. How much it sucks to be single when all your friends are inviting you to their weddings. Trying not to gain 100 pounds, which is hard (I used to be a cheerleader which meant lots of physical activity now all I do is work and sleep), so I'm currently on a fitness journey! Oh and last thing, living in Florida has made me realized how uncultured some people are and it scared me. I don't ever want to be like that so I'm on a mission to see the world. I have a few trips planned already both domestic and international! Soooooo... If anything I just said sounds interesting at all, go ahead and follow me as we can figure it all out together.
