idk if anyone has made this link yet but i’ve only just seen the comics so this is fresh for me, okay? (this may be obvious, ik ik)
So, in the 5th comic issue, Robert II says Robert III is ‘tinkering’ when theres a loud clang from the garage
but, when we actually see Robert III in the garage, he’s simply holding a hammer, and there’s some pretty suspiciously hammer-shaped dents in the Mecha Man suit
plus, when the suit powers on, it’s a defensive protocol due to sensing a ‘threat’
So, taking into account the legacy of the suit, the importance of the suit to Robert II, perhaps in favour of his own son…
Robert III was trying to damage or destroy the suit. to hurt it.
Robert III dislikes the suit because his father’s focus and obsession with it means he is neglected of his father’s love and attention.
So, at the end, when the suit is destroyed, when Robert is the last one standing, hearing the echoes of his Father’s ‘tough love’, mirroring the suit’s stance over him as a child, his father’s stance over him-
- Do we think he’s really that upset the suit is destroyed?
