i cannot wait for the day the great gulon incident short story is published so people can stop fucking asking about it
Okay, so i probably should not even say this but it's been in my brain all day, so...
...it really messed with my head to watch a YT video by one of the people I constantly see reblogged on here giving "scientific facts" about how weight doesn't affect health, how that's a lie sold to you by the diet industry, how the only way to heal is to eat intuitively by which they mean not restrict by which they mean never pay attention to calorie amounts or you'll end up with an ED, and how the only way to stop binging is to give in to the urge to binge until you learn how to eat more in general...
...is not fat (or at least appeared "straight sized" to me on watching.) (I still dislike that term.)
It makes sense now that I THINK about it. If they're anorexic (which I think they are?) then "binge" very likely means something different to them than to someone with bulimia or binge eating disorder and they're trying to rid themself of toxic shame about the possibility of "eating too much" so said shame doesn't kill them. So binge is not a bad word. Or something.
But absent that context, they absolutely sounded to me like someone with binge eating disorder who had decided "the science says some people are naturally fat," and thus to eat thousands of calories of junk at a sitting as a middle finger to "an industry" that "unfairly labels the tastiest foods the bad ones."
I feel relieved to know this but strangely intensely enraged at the same time. Part of the reason I gained weight was that I feared that trying to stop habits I knew were bad and getting worse was "fatphobic," and that I'd only get to try to change my body once I was sure I had no "fatphobia" inside my head. (Did it anyway, personally happier, don't THINK I hate anyone.)
...If anyone tells you to binge, tell them to shut up, or at least to be specific.
New evidence on the debate over disproportionality
Disproportionately favorited subreddits among r/submatch users
some of y’all be like “uh oh! that person is exchanging currency for a good and/or service! I suppose I must permanently remove them from my life and my good graces.”
BPD/ADHD mood swings are wild. Like, here's a super specific example;
*discussing labyrinth, feeling happy and stable*
Me: you remind me of the babe!
Person, who knows the song: *doesn't say "what babe?"*+
Me:
Them:
*drawn out, awkward pause*
Me: wow ok guess its time to cry uncontrollably for the next hour and feel utterly devastated and humiliated for the rest of my life ???? despite knowing this is literally a non-issue and its not me that's upset its my Brain Monster and not wanting to make any kind of deal out of it and allow the moment to pass but my tear ducts are traitors ??? so THAT relationship is gonna be weird forever now
+I found out after that it was because we were talking bout the uhh spandex, they thought I was gonna reply with, "the babe with the dick." ???????????
I have questions sometimes.
So I love anime. I do. I love animation. I love video game animation/cgi. The whole lot.
But I have questions.
I get some people find larger breats attractive. That's cool. Whateves. What I don't understand is when they decide to give animated characters tits so big they just looks like these God awful suffocating growths.
Like bigger titties is ok but there's a limit right? There there a point where it crosses the point of having the possibility of being acctractive to the point where it's borderline gross and off putting. I just. I have questions.
I mean it's also chill when it's ridiculous for comedic purposes but like in a way that's supposed to make the character hotter? Again. There comes a point where they just look like massive chest growths and I just don't get it. Not even on a 'hey don't objectify women/femanist/common decency' objective look at I just legitimately do not understand. But like the other things a good point too.
Same thing with over muscled dude characters. There's a point where it's chill and a point where it's just off putting.
Idk. This has been bothering me for a while. Disproportionate limbs/body shapes/aspects in animation when put to absolute extremes just off put me. Je ne comprends pas.
fun new pastime; see how angry i can make myself trying to perform simple tasks
