So, there are two subreddits on reddit about tumblr

There's r/tumblr and r/curatedtumblr

I was looking at the descriptions for them and noticed something.

I saw you mod a few subreddits, is there a difference in what managing them is actually like?

So, yeah. First, rules are often different in each sub. Some are bigger and some smallers and that already can make quite the difference... But depends actually! And some have more moderators than others so more people can take care of some things and might have different roles.

In my experience tho:

r/Nightwing: Aah, the biggest and first sub I'm a mod in🥹 It's easier to manage with many active mods around, five including me. Sometimes we have different roles and I don't manage all the stuff on there like mega threads. And the rules are different from others so things might change here and there. Like what stuff to approve or not. It can be challenging when some topics comes up, but it's not bad or exhausting. And note aside I'm happy to be on the mod team there ^^ so happy to be a mod on a subreddit dedicated to my top 1 favorite character.

r/Batgirl: Being a female character subreddit, things can get... more NSFW, or there being unrelated posts that gets there because of the "girl" in Batgirl... And I'll let you guess what stuff, lol. Or comments that are quite questionable. Still, it's actually doing quite fine! I even had fun making the post flairs since there weren't any before! I'm actually still trying to make user flairs, been thinking of making them for a while but I can't come up with many😮‍💨 I'll need to put more thoughts into it. It's just me and my top mod there so, being only two of us, there's more stuff to take care of, but generally it's not so bad.

r/Hawkgirl and r/Power_Girl: They're currently the smaller subs I'm a mod in, and shockingly enough there isn't much 18+ stuff in queues to remove. They're both actually quite chill? Unless I've missed stuff other mods took care of before I logged in. There are still a few things to work on here and there, especially on Power_Girl since it's relatively new... But quite easy for now?

r/Supergirl: It's... Honestly kinda hard there, lol. I've never seen so much pornographic stuff in the queues as much as there... And I think I could never forget some of it... I think there was Hulk this one time and...aah😭... It's shockingly the one with the most stuff in queues every day, and fights starts often or there are some questionable comments about the new actress for the upcoming movie. I think I've never removed so much stuff and banned so many users on other subs...? We mods are doing our best to take care of things tho! Oh! One thing I can think of is also the amount of reports. Unlike the other four, on the Supergirl subreddit many posts gets reported multiple times and for random reasons. Mainly the posts where things are slightly more explicit, the KaraBabs one (I remember having to step in and leave a mod comment under one once because things were escalating) and the recent Supergirl x Spider-Man posts. Those are giving quite the troubles😅 But we're also working on that.

Anyways one thing that doesn't change in all five, for me, is my daily posts for example! I try to make at least one post per day, even if it's been complicated lately and I sometimes end up skipping a day or forgetting a post;;; And often I might lack of ideas and content. I try not to only post art but it's difficult sometimes.

have you not been on the progression fantasy subreddit for a while? there's a very malicious compliance reason for their subreddit icon

What malicious compliance? The rainbow on the icon? I've met many of the mods before and I've never thought any of them homophobic at all. But I try to stay away from subreddit drama and usually Reddit itself; I'm too easy to go on drama rabbit holes and waste half a day just reading stuff that doesn't affect me.
