Meeting friends after years of just wishing each other on birthdays/ reconnecting with people you've lost contact with after years due to a stroke of luck wherein you're both pursuing the same thing and have something common to discuss (like 1D back in the day)/ hearing about friends you were introduced to when you were a kid, by your parents from your parents, who heard it from their parents/ finding out one of your first friends from the city you shifted to some 15 years back is now engaged to be married/ running into your friends from childhood with their current partners and realising it's been years since you guys have talked about each other's love lives and now you're sitting flabbergasted in front of them not knowing what to say/ meeting college friends and seniors and reminiscing the days when you were happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time/reuniting with your favourite cousins and gossiping all day long, about family and friends, girlfriends and marriages, with drinks in hand instead of the erstwhile coke or sprite/ planning meetings with your new friends when you visit their city but constantly clashing schedules making you realise that some meetings are just not meant to be/ all leading to the perpetual realisation that how during every encounter you were a different person, sometimes an adult, oftentimes a teenager- depending on the person you met and how these people have seen you at different phases of life/ and you them/ and how the first impressions still linger in the background, a constant reminder of what you've left behind - good and bad/ but all of it, eventually bringing you to where you are now, surrounded by people who love you, growth, in ways than one, very much evident.
