Me vs. whatever fucking goblin won't let me write (also me).
I just had one of those disconcerting episodes where I realize suddenly that I'm touching a screen and it's making things happen.
Started to panic. Had to lie on my back and breathe for a few minutes. Readjusted to the existence of modern technology.
Now everything is okay and I feel mostly normal.
(A LOT of things can trigger that 'when and how did this happen?' response in me. It's rare enough not to be majorly concerning, but I'd still rather not nearly puke when I forget cars exist and then see one being very large and going very fast.)
Okay but what if whumpee decided to go on a walk? You know, to clear their head. And they walk, and walk, and walk… and they end up so deep in thought that they don’t even realize they’re still walking.
It gets dark, then it gets light again, and then someone pulls up beside them and calls their name, but they hardly register it. That is until the person places a hand on their shoulder and they turn around to see caretaker. They can tell from the worry on caretaker’s face alone that they have been walking for a Very. Long. Time.
It’s only then that they register the pain in their body, the dryness of their mouth, the hunger. They let caretaker help them into the car where they take off their shoes and socks to find their feet rubbed raw and bloody. Finally succumbing to exhaustion, they close their eyes and sleep on the drive home.
Serious question time. How do you deal with loneliness and depression?
uhhhh lol
m gonna be honest i don’t have a good answer for this..
so apparently it isn't normal to be able to stop feeling physical pain or being cold
