Be Still and Know
Feeling overwhelmed by the noise and chaos around you?
In a world that never stops moving, God whispers four simple words that can change everything: "Be still, and know."
Psalm 46:10 says, "Be still, and know that I am God."
Be still doesn't mean sit quietly for five minutes. It means stop striving, stop controlling, stop trying to fix everything yourself.
Know doesn't mean understand everything. It means trust that God is who He says He is - sovereign, loving, and completely in control.
When your mind is racing with worry, be still and know He's got this. When your heart is breaking with pain, be still and know He's near. When your future feels uncertain, be still and know He's already there.
The Hebrew word for "be still" literally means "let go" or "release your grip."
Today, whatever you're holding too tightly - your plans, your fears, your need to control - release it into God's capable hands.
In the stillness, you'll discover what your soul has been searching for: the peace that comes from knowing God is God, and you are loved.
