ღ ┊ Keiko often visits the antique shop next to the shop that sold and made shipments of healing crystals and the like. The shop was also known for it’s odd selection of books. Most were old texts on diseases or medicine. There was a small selection of fictional work, but it’s not what held Keiko’s interest. The even smaller selection that he would often look into were the grimoires; the books of spells and curses. Many of different kinds even. Amber eyes had been busy reading over the incantation written. Yet at hearing a thump, his attention is drawn to a book that had fallen to the floor.
Keiko looks between the bookcase, thinking that maybe he hadn’t been alone here in the back, but no one had caught his eye. He goes to kneel and pick the book up when it suddenly flips open all on its own. That alone was enough to freak him out. Eyes wide and unblinking, he observes the text written as if he were there as the pen touched the paper. Full lips part and he reads the first line of the page it’d been flipped to aloud, “Alone she sat beneath the apple tree finding serenity within the pe--” That’s when he noticed the book began to glow. By then it was all too late.
Touching the book lands the bleached blond perched in the exact same position that he’d just read moments ago. Beneath an apple tree, in broad daylight. Last he had checked, the sun had been setting. “Where the--...” Looking around, he finds that where he is in unfamiliar and he genuinely starts to panic. “WHERE AM I?!” Not only that, but his frantic movement to stand up made him come to realize the new attire he’d been put into. “What the FUCK?” A green robe or gown of some sort drapes over his small stature, sandals on his feet, and oddly enough the grimoire still in hand. Though it was much heavier. “Wait...this isn’t...huh?” It was all written in a language he couldn’t even begin to understand. It certainly wasn’t Japanese.
