This is Black History month, but Instead of giving you history, I want to show you the people I have made bond with, and their music. Since music has such a big impact on our culture and Africa has such a big unknown music base in America. When you hear the sounds they use, you can see a lot of where music derived from. Reggae, Latin, HipHop, Rap. I want to talk about Salone music in general. Artist I have met with, Performed with, and made music with. The people have so much to bring to the table with their vibrant sounds, with the excitement and enjoyment to match it. If you ever get a chance to visit #SierraLeone Hit me up so I can connect you with some good people. My first month into Salone my new friends wanted to help me promote my music into the country. This is when i was introduced to #DjAlias, at Kalleon Radio. (This is also how @kenchinepalmer16 and myself met) Immediately Dj Alias wanted to see me on the stage at his upcoming concert. I didn't find out until a few days before the show that i would be sharing a stage with the Talented, charismatic, LEADER herself. @STARZEE ZEE. Me being a Huge fan hers, i definitely was excited. The show was either February 26 or 27. Right before my birthday. She performed "Leader" and a couple other songs with her team. After my set "In The Morning" and "Dont Leave Me" on my upcoming #LoveEdit Album, and one other song me and Dizzy West have together (@Kenchinepalmer16 One Heart Nation). My first performance in #SierraLeone with such a major Queen in the Game.
