Dear future me.

I want to ask you what it’s like, but I’m not sure I actually want to know. The future I imagine is going to be very lonely… No, not lonely…

I’m going to be alone. There’s a distinction. Feeling lonely could never amount to the same distress as being alone.

There’s a chance I’ll have encountered new allies, or I won’t take the parting of current ones so hard.

Why, oh why did he have to get himself into situations like this.

He didn’t even know what he did this time!

The hedgehog’s hand was latched securely around his arm and the other around his wrist, and as much as Nack tried to pull away, he couldn’t break himself free. On top of that, a gag had been placed over his mouth. His ears lay flat, the weasel watching the other with a look of fear and confusion in his eyes. He knew who Sonic was, same as everyone else-- The hero of Mobius. But he couldn’t figure out for himself why the hedgehog was doing this.

If it was for his illegal ventures, then why not just get the police involved? Surely it wasn’t a big enough issue for Sonic himself to step into.

But his main concern was what seemed to be the beginnings of a kidnapping.

A soft whimper came from the weasel. He wanted to try and reason with the hedgehog, but without use of his mouth, that wasn’t going to happen anytime soon.

He hoped that he’d get an explanation for what was going on. If things started to take a turn for the worst, he was strongly considering whacking Sonic with his tail.
