To my dnd player who follows me, don’t read this, to everyone else, I need help on a dm matter
I unsure whether or not my paladin broke his oath today. He didn’t do anything to fully break the oath itself, but he is really mad at his god and might have sliced a statue of her in half. Any advice on how to handle it??
How do I deal with murder hobos in my campaigns? Simple. I DO IT BACK.
You want to attack some innocent merchants because they are working their jobs leaving you alone? GOOD. DO IT. Little did you know that the old halfling woman you just destroyed the cart of because she wouldn’t sell you a potion for a copper is actually a world renowned fighter who will beat you with her giant crystal and I will make her win. What? You don’t like people standing up for themselves,,,LIKE THEY WOULD IRL???
And before the “you’re taking the fun out of dnd bleh bleh bleh” Do you REALLY think forcing the entire party into pointless combat over and over again and specifically going against the dm’s story is fun for ANYONE ELSE?

Hey everyone! I don’t normally reach out to followers, but here I am. I will soon be running a two-day adventure for 13 students. They are between the ages of 11 and 17. How would you run a group this size and what should they be doing? I plan on taking the first half of the first day to create characters and a little backstory for each. What adventure should I run? A premade would be best I believe. How the heck does combat work in any kind of way?
They will be level 1. Most of them are new to the game and have no experience playing.

In my very sparse off time I've been doodling a new campaign in the same world, as it's my baby, but different locale. Excited to see what I've gotten better at as a DM/person/newbie and what still needs work! But we'll be starting after Magnificon/possibly after Dokomi as I have a lot of deadlines in May.

Anyone with dm experience...
How do you keep your dm pc (the only thing you care about) in a game, other than having them show up with info or to push the group forward? Do you ever get sick and tired of it?
How do you handle a skill challenge when your on the spot improv descriptions are muddled by your brain just forgetting any and all descriptive language or things you know and see?
How do you handle a group that always nitpicks but can never do the job themselves, and never give compliments (save for one player that was lost bc another was rude)?
How do you handle/judge cringe without being rude?
How do you gain and hold a poker face for poor player decisions?
How do you not get upset when player's obviously don't listen despite all the work you put in?
How do you tell a player (in a non-rude way) you hate their class and wanted it banned from your game but they didn't seem to realize that until its too late?
So, hypothetically, if you were to ram someone into the ground while using the fly spell, how would you calculate damage?

Um...I think that’d would be fine, yes. I haven’t really considered it until now, but...I mean, I like kids, and kids like me (most of the time), so i think I’d be okay with it! I hope their kids like me, though.....

Ah, well, I’ve never really dated anyone...I always wished I could be courted by many people but i never really had that option! So I’m not really sure.
