#dnd dm question

To my dnd player who follows me, don’t read this, to everyone else, I need help on a dm matter

I unsure whether or not my paladin broke his oath today. He didn’t do anything to fully break the oath itself, but he is really mad at his god and might have sliced a statue of her in half. Any advice on how to handle it??
