There's this really obscure forgotten DC hero named the Heckler, who's basically buggs bunny as a superhero, not having any powers or physically strong, but just really good at pissing people off until they accidentally deal with themselves.

Now they're interesting, but the REAL star of the show is one of his villains, John Doe the Generic Man, who's this guy in a stark white suit with flat pink unshaded, untextured skin with no features or anything who talks like chatGPT and has black text over his face that explains what he's feeling at the moment. That guy is fucking fascinating.

I first heard about this guy from the "League of regrettable superheroes" Books, (The supervillain one, obviously) and He stuck with me because its such an interesting concept. not only is HE generic, but he has the power to make anything he TOUCHES generic too. I never actually got to experience his whole deal as an actual character, since this was just an info book that tells you about the character, so seeing these panels it really cool.

Okay, browsing through your Draconequus AU, I saw the EG possibility, so now I'm just picturing Sunset Shimmer sneaking in to steal the Element of Magic Crown, only to find there is a beast she's only read about in her books sleeping RIGHT NEXT TO THE CROWN!

what about twilight's parents in the draconequus AU? how did they react, what's their relationship with shining armor, spike, princess cadence, princess celestia, and the rest of canterlot?

Nightlight and Velvet didn't take Twilight being transformed into an unidentifiable monster very well, but they took Celestia's damage control even worse. The first seeds of rebellion were sown that day.

they never planned on letting Celestia keep her in that tower forever. Between the three of them, Nightlight would push his magical prowess and studies to the point of becoming a Wizard, Velvet would become a protected and respected Judge, and Shining Armor famously would become Captain of the Royal Guard. They each fostered their own loyal communities, in the hopes of turning the tide of Celestia's decision by force.

Luckily, Nightmare Moon busted out and Celestia had no choice but to release Twilight to allow her to fulfill her grand destiny.

and all Twilight knows is that her parents love her very much.

This phrase has already entered my vocabulary re: media criticism where like. The viewer has a concrete view of what they expect a story to be based on the tropes and cliches they're used to seeing together, and when that doesn't happen, they judge it as a failed depiction of what they assumed it was going to be instead of judging it as what it actually is.

"This show is problematic because the hero didn't kill the villain at the end": When does he steal the bread?

"These two characters who were close friends throughout the series don't kiss at the end! What the fuck?": When does he steal the bread?

"This feels like it's missing a conclusion! Like, the protagonist does bad stuff and because of a critical decision he makes as a result of his major character flaws, meets tragedy in the end! Where's the part where he learns better and brings is love back from the dead and becomes a good guy and gets a happy ending?": When does he steal the fucking bread??
