The Cure of the Ruby Plague
When the plague was released into the world, only two people knew about the cure for it. Those people were Averil and his assistant Nelipsis. They ended up giving the party a comprehensible list of ingredients for the cure.
I have images for two of the ingredients, being:
The Ashblossom (not drawn by me, once I find credit I will give it. I found the image on Pinterest)
And the Everfrost Berry
So I love my players
They're literally in chat making their canon character scents:
Stone smells like ginger
Therius smells like ash, gunpowder, and cinnamon
Reingus smells like a rain in a garden
Torinn used to smell like cleaning products but now smells like cooking, mostly savoury stuff like soup
Cashmere smells like a sugary pastries
I love them ;-;
So I’m a DM
And today towards the end my players get a bit tired, we were winding down and their PCs were entering the main city. They split up trying to locate a nefarious individual who was never intended to be followed in the first place, but of course it's allowed.
So they split up, all coming to various dead ends. And our elf wizard was in charge of looking into the political sector of the city. Its EARLY morning, and keep in mind the mission they were on was contracted by the local government.
The wizard at the time had no means of tracking the individual but rolled a high perception so I showed her the specific buildings around her that she saw. An archive, a library, and a central building. She checked the archive, and it was locked per it being dawn, and then moved on to the library. She wished to unlock it with a hair clip, and I had her roll for it. She got above a 20.
I had explained to her that she was near the city’s guard station, and as she opened the door, two guards approached her asking what she was doing.
She then proceeded to run away, try to climb the back wall and leap to the top of the library building.
Of course I allowed her to roll for it.
The climb was successful, the jump was not.
The guards in an attempt to subdue her shooter her down, and with a critical she was unconscious.
She woke up to the face of her employer explaining to the rest of the team why she ended up in a jail cell.
This wasn’t even part of the mission.
Efidey: Name a more iconic duo than my crippling fear of abandonment and my anxiety. I’ll wait.
Eldrin: You and me!!!
Efidey, tearing up: Okay
So uh, one of my players literally sent me money to make their DnD family a playlist xD
Would people mind giving me some one shot ideas? They can be as wild or serious as you want, I just want some practice dming.
