I feel a ping of inspiration and a beast drawing itch. So have my displacer beast kitten from the first ever dnd campaign I was in!
In that campaign I had a large blobby moth named Dusty, a friendly yeth hound named Jesus, and a displacer beast kitten named Markiplier. All of which the dungeon master named, I had no say in this 🤣
Description: A dog-sized young hydra with one single head, with a pink collar around its neck. The collar is magic and stops the hydra from getting bigger, and creates a thin layer of protection around its body.
Owner: Nerwar The Seasonal, a powerful wizard who lives in a tower adorned with shiny scales of many wyrms, to a trained eye (DC 15 History or 19 Survival) the scales appear not only from different wyrms but also taken from living ones due to their cleanliness and shine. Nerwar protects his tower with all sorts of spells and traps, so trying to enter without his permission doesn’t end good most of the time. His clothing, hair, eyes and even the exterior and interior of the tower, changes colors and often differs in appearance in tiny details, depending on the month. The collar of the Hydra changes too, with a different name on the name tag for each month. Despite the Hydra responding to all names during the year, it only responds to the one of the current month.
Functionality: The Hydra will never be gifted or bought, as it’s one of the most prized possessions of Nerwar, but it can be hydrasitted. Often times Nerwar needs to work on a very complex spell and can’t give his attention to the Hydra so he tries to work on them step by step, spending more time than necessary. If the party offers to help, Nerwar will give them a leash with weird symbols, made of shiny gems set in pitch black leather, and then lets them go to the forest nearby to walk the Hydra and play with them. After doing this a few times the Hydra will be more friendly with the party, play with them, and Nerwar will even gift them magic trinkets that he built just for them.

Is your pet odd?
Punch first, questions later!
Today DNDpet I bring my cute pet rat Jabuticaba! She's so cute but not a very social rat, which makes her very odd!
But it's in the oddity that we find beauty and she is still the cutest!
Do you have odd pets to share?
TMiF is resuming Curse of Strahd after a small break, so I figured I'd do something a little wholesome for our return to Barovia tonight.
Loupe often rides with Idalia in the hood of her cloak.
"Do you want to pet Loupe? It usually makes me feel better."
Spoilers: Hestara 100% needed the emotional support Loupe.
And I’m pretty proud of the TikTok for this one: www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8jmL85M/
Come join Loupe's existential crisis tonight at 10pmEST as we return to Barovia and Curse of Strahd~!

I’m not using them atm, but this is 💕⭐️Danya! Known as Danny, my Creations Bard💕⭐️
She is very jolly and energetic, extremely inquisitive, and has a little mouse, Stardust, who follows them EVERYWHERE; he is pretty much an emotional support pet! Though deep in Danny’s heart… They are so lonely. Honestly their backstory is SO FUCKING SAD. I really got to write it out sometime…
