i really can't recommend enough picking at least one really young tennis player who's at the start of their career to follow. watch them play challengers, struggle through qualis, get wildcards at their home tournaments, win their first main tour match, see their progress, how they improve, watch them hopefully climb up the rankings. it's fun, it's enriching, it can be rewarding

Ft! Ler!Kiyotaka and Lee!Mondo!

“Mondo, come on. The test is in 30 minutes!! You must study up!”

“There’s no point, I’m gonna fuckin’ fail anyways like I usually do. Why’s it matter so much?”

“Because this time could be different!! Now come on! You can do better than moping around!”

Kiyotaka’s face was dead serious as he stared at Mondo, arms firm and crossed against his chest, his posture as straight as ever. Meanwhile, the gang leader was as poor postured as ever, hands shoved in his pants pockets. He had a genuinely confused look on his face as he looked Taka up and down, before sighing and walking away.

“There’s no point, kyoudai. Give it a rest.”

“..If you insist on that, then I have just once last request for you!”

Mondo hesitantly turned back around, tilting his head slightly as he gave Taka yet another confused glance. He didn’t understand. What more could he have possibly wanted here??

“Smile for me, at least! For good luck!”

“..The fuck kinda logic is that?”

Kiyotaka stepped forward towards Mondo, not elaborating his plan further. Mondo had a nervous feeling about this, however, and backed away from him. That is, until he was backed into a corner. Literally. He had nowhere to go within that moment, as he stared Taka dead in the eyes. There was, for once, a playful glint in his eye, as he stopped in front of the biker.

“Are you going to give me one? Or must I use force?”

“Wh-What the fuck are you on about?? Is this some sort of stupid f-fuckin’ joke??”

“Language, Mondo!”

“F-Fuck that!! Get away from me!!”

Mondo nervously scanned his surroundings, looking for any sort of way out of this predicament he walked himself into. However, while Mondo wasn’t focused on Kiyotaka, and what he was doing-,

“The fuUHUHUCK?!”

Taka’s nimble hands skittered against his sides on top of his shirt, moving in as close as he could without it being awkward. Mondo had nowhere to go now, and was too afraid of hurting the poor moral compass, so he, albeit reluctantly, accepted his embarrassing fate in the corner of their shared dorm. He tried his best to push Taka’s hands away while still being as gentle as he could, but there was no dice. Taka was relentless with his attack, eventually finding the opportunity to slip his hands underneath Mondo’s shirt, causing his howling laughter to go up an octave.

“FOR FUCKS SAHAHAHAKES LEMME GOHOHO!!”

“Then promise me you’ll try your best!! I do not care what grade you may end up getting, kyoudai, but I want the very best from you!!”

Taka’s words were firm, and in the last bit, each word was punctuated more with a squeeze on each side. Mondo’s legs wobbled underneath him as he finally cracked when Kiyotaka’s now devious hands moved to his belly, tickling and teasing the soft flesh to almost no end.

“FUHUHUCK ALRIGHT!! JUST LEMMEHEHE GO!!”

Finally Kiyotaka gave the larger boy mercy, retracting his hands as soon as he heard what he wanted to. He had a proud smile on his face, placing his hands on his hips with an even prouder stance. Mondo, however, had one arm across his stomach, and the other holding him up against the wall, still getting out extra giggles and breaths. Finally, he shook his head, giving Kiyotaka a firm look that sent shivers down the boys spine.

“But after this damn test, you’re gettin’ what you deserve, Taka.”
