my mom: *implies that i’m going through a phase, acts like my girlfriend doesn’t even fucking exist and tells me that i should be trying to get a boyfriend so i can get married and have kids instead, acts blatantly homophobic/biphobic/transphobic in front of me and them asks me why it matters to me so much, only acknowledges my girlfriend so she can yell at me for wanting to spend time calling her*

me: *gets reasonably upset*

my mom: *gets mad at me for being upset, while continuing to tell me i shouldn’t be so bothered by shit she does*
