I can't stop thinking about this #docanddarryl documentary (premieres July 14, 9pm ET on ESPN) screening I went to last night. It's about the rise and crushing falls of the Mets superstars Gooden and Strawberry. What a gut-wrenching, unflinching examination of their decades-long battles with addiction from directors @juddapatow and Michael Bonfiglio, who were on hand for a Q&A at Hearst Tower. The recent interviews with Doc and Darryl...whoa. I talked to fellow Mets fan Apatow afterward about the 10 or so other unfortunate incidences he had to leave OUT of the movie!
